Davao is cool. Surely safe. Especially if you don't go out of your way to SHOW everyone you are a foreign tourist. Dress and walk to blend in and you will be fine. ie loud Hawaiian type shirts, walking slow, looking down at your phone.

"Early accommodation would have made my stay way more than excellent. It was because i arrived earlier than expected but the checking in was not so accommodating, it was by the rule anyways, so not to blame on the hotel. All is good"

"I arrived on the property, reception area was dark and dingy, no elevator so i was shown the ground floor room for a senior. Hallway qaa dark, not like the picture on the website, room was very small with 2 single bed, dark, dingy... like can stay there if youre really in a tight budget(but still expensively). Skip this place, I tell you. I still dont know if I can geta refund."
"I had a pleasant stay overall. There was some noise from the room above me, which I reported to customer service — thankfully, it improved after that. The food at the cafeteria was good, and the pool area was enjoyable.
However, I did have an unfortunate incident at the pool. While rushing to my child who was calling me, I slipped on the wet tiles surrounding the pool. My left foot was slightly cut by one of the tiles. The pool staff member was incredibly helpful — he went above and beyond to treat my injury with ice and ointment, and I really appreciated his quick response and kindness.
I do hope the facility considers replacing the pool tiles with non-slip material. As they are now, they pose a serious trip hazard, especially for parents with young children."
"In reality, I didn’t stay there, cause it was too small for me and what I needed. Instead I was offered another option like a residency and I stayed there for about 8 days, and it was good for me. "
"In spite of a lick of paint here and there the hotel was as I expected having stayed there before. The room was very large with a comfortable seating area and a very comfortable queen sized bed. Air conditioning worked well and kept the room at a nice temperature.
Food was available on the 5th floor in a clean and tidy dining room and we were served by pleasant staff. Reception staff were very polite and friendly and could not be faulted…happy and smiley at all times."

"Second Visit to Davao City and second stay at this Hotel. Great place to stay with friendly staff and FREE BREAKFAST. Great location, easy access to taxis and local transportation. Close to “G Mall” for food, fun and Shopping. Very “American” friendly, I definitely recommend this place."
"Stayed two night and it was enjoyable and clean. Room service was prompt and helpful. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection of food. The location is also very nice, close to the mall and not far from Chinatown and the night market. "
"This place was in a very poor condition. The washing machine didnt work and this was main reason i booked so i could was clothes before next part of my trip. The room was really run down and in a poor state. The room smelt and so did the main corridor outside.
They charge 500 php to clean the room but make you take away your own rubbish before you leave.
The aircon smelt bad and actually made me sick the next morning.
