Our friends live in Guisborough and this hotel was only 5 minutes from them so was perfect for us to stay and visit our friends before Christmas. We intend staying again in future and to walk the beautiful area nearby including Roseberry Topping.

"We stayed for two nights at The Royal. We had a room which had just been refurbished and was lovely. The Hotel had been painted and renovated since there last year when we stayed one night. The staff were all kind, helpful and polite. We had breakfast which was really good. We will certainly stay again. The Royal is really close to Whitby Bay."

Staff were friendly and meals were excellent including the breakfast. Only a couple of miles from Whitby and lots of other places of interest, including the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway and Goathland. Would definitely recommend."
