Neither are worth what is charged, however, and at times I felt more like a transaction than a guest - indeed was ignored at times in favour of a larger party of four. Great service from the younger member of staff though. Lots of rules (which will no doubt be defended). Good location. Final tip: caveat emptor - you may be told at checkout that you could have spent £30 less per night and got free breakfast (rather than £17.50 each)....

Ely and Claire and Anna were also wonderful and all the bar staff. The breakfasts were great with lots of Choices and they made us a lovely packed lunch instead of breakfast on the last day as we left early. The restaurant/bar was excellent and outside patio too.
Beds were very comfortable- we had a twin bed room with a view of the sea. Wifi was awful...

The food was excellent, but not always consistent - I had sea bass on one day which was so delicious (and as described in the menu) that I decided to have it again on my last night, but it was no where near as good - missing the chives in the mash, the dill sauce on the fish and not served with peas all as described in the menu. I’m guessing it was a different chef on duty.
I was disappointed with a mix up/misunderstanding about my room - but I think that was because of Expedia, not the fault of the hotel. And the hotel did try to resolve it.
I will definitely return and will know which room to request next time!"
