"We stay at the hotel once a year as a treat. It’s such a unique and friendly hotel with fantastic staff. It’s a very old hotel but they keep it updated but somethings like not having walk in showers might put some off as the shower is a curtain around the bath but that just adds to the charm for us. Chester is a lovely place to visit and the hotel is in a great location. "
"All the staff I encountered were very professional, polite, and eager to help. I couldn't have asked for better service from anybody.
The building is maintained to a very good standard."
"Bed was comfy, apartment was very nice, modern and clean. The providers do warn you of the noise, but damn, it was LOOUUUDD. In our apartment the rear bedroom was quite quiet. This isn't a moan by the way, we were told very clearly to expect noise so definitely be aware before you book but a brilliant place to stay.
For parking I did 2 separate bookings which came to £9.75 and £11.21 respectively for Friday and Saturday. That was at Dale St. Equal to about 3 hours in Brighton! "
"We just stayed for a single night, but had no issues - friendly staff, a lovely clean room, a nice small balcony, and just a short walk from the centre of town.
The only note I'd make is that the mattress in our room was very soft indeed - it suited us ok, but may be a little too soft for those who need a firmer mattress."
"We had a lovely time staying yet again at the Leonardo whilst we attend a Convention at the M&S bank Arena. The staff are amazing and so very friendly and obliging. Comfortable and clean, lovely breakfast. "
"Rooms ok. Clean tidy. Housekeeping excellent. Plenty tea coffee etc. Decor of hotel very good. Dining room available for Dinner. Breakfast good, good choices. Bar area very good, reasonable prices. Handy placed for town. Good shops and resteraunts. Recomend."
"We enjoyed our stay after we went to our original booking snd was advised by Police and Community Police Staff not to stay there, the rooms were very clean (family room), but very warm, it was quite close to all places we wanted to goto, would stay again if i was in the area"
"We found The Resident an ideal base for a few days exploring Liverpool. Friendly staff, clean room, and a great central location which is in easy walking distance from the whole city centre area.
I expect we'll be back next time we visit the city!"
"Wonderful hotel, multitude of little extra touches that you just don’t get in other hotels nowadays.
Simple check, gift of chocolate and a couple of drinks as it was our anniversary and all staff quick to help. Plenty of staff means no unnecessary waiting for drinks/food."
"Very clean, nice apartments that worked for our family. Incredibly central location in the heart of Liverpool.
While it can be quite noisy outside, the noise was completely blocked out in the apartment building. Would stay again."
"8 adults and 1x 8 yr old family members stayed 26tb July.. Our roms were all comfortable and we got no noise from outside or in the corrudors. Elderly parents had a wet room bathroom which we had requested. Perfect!
Food was delicious. Groupon deal included evening meal. Limited selection but we all enjoyed. Evening staff were v efficient and friendly. Breakfast was self service. A little impersonal...

"This is an outstanding luxury hotel that is modern and meticulously maintained. On top of that, it is filled with Beatles memorabilia as the name suggests. It is right around the corner from the Cavern Club so a great place to hear local music."
