"The Highland Glen Lodge was such a gem. The house is absolutely beautiful and the location was so serene. The owners were friendly and helpful and have thought of everything for your stay. I did stay with my 11 year old and I might say it is not the best for kids. It was so quiet I was afraid he was going to make noise and disturb others. We whispered the whole time haha. I would definitely recommend to others visiting Anchrorage and looking for a wonderful experience."

"We stayed in this establishment three separate times in our 17 day vacation in Alaska. Each of the times we loved our stay. The desk clerks, Maggie and Maddie’s were extremely helpful. Especially dealing with a non-functioning shower and noisy-rude neighbors.
The rooms here are better equipped than all of the other hotels that we’ve stayed in on our trip…even those that were WAY more expensive!
The location is extremely convenient for many day trips from Anchorage as well as short...

"Last week room had no furniture except bed and desk. Found out in true Alaska style the truck with the new furnishings for the entire hotel has yet to arrive. They are doing their best! Also excellent salmon fishing in the river across the street. Enjoy!"

This is a newer hotel: clean, well lit, quiet, fun, nicely decorated, nice staff, good vibe. You can't walk a lot of places and the view is of a gas station, but of the four hotels I stayed in on a trip to Anchorage, this is the only one I would book again. 5 minute drive to everything."

"This place is a DUMP! Stayed one night to catch an early flight. In need of MAJOR renovation! Old musty carpets to old, and patchy paint, poor squeaky floors from one end to the other. If my wife was with me, I would have not stayed at all. Early morning shuttle was there and timely the next morning. Nut the only positive thing I can say! "
