The dinner, which is included in the fee, was very good. The room was small but comfortable. Negative was that we heard a lot of the noise being just above the outside sitting area. Only reachable by train which we could not make because of cargo train derailment!! Owners do not answer phone much. We could reach them only once and they never answered afterwards when we were stranded in Myrdal. They never even texted us back. They offered no real solution nor were particularly friendly. Too...

"This is a mountain lodge - rustic conditions outside, but you'll find a very comfy bed on the inside. Stayed in the hotel and had two twin beds with comforters. I am hot-blooded so the Comforter was a bit much for me, but my wife was cold with one, so she asked for another. Shower was excellent and powerful! Dinner was excellent and the breakfast was a Nordic continental. Cured Fish, Cold Cuts/Cheese, H.B.Eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, home baked bread and jams, etc. Healthy and it will keep you full while hiking. A bit out of the way, but isn't that what we are looking for in the wilderness? If it wan't so far from the US, I would be staying here on all of my hiking adventures."
