There often weren't enough chairs around the pool, but the staff did eventually bring more up from the beachfront area. We didn't not experience any sandfleas (at the resort or elsewhere on the island). It was easy and affordable to rent a scooter at the resort."

We did get a taxi to White Sand Beach one day and I was glad we didn’t stay there because it was too touristy. At night at Parama, all you can hear are birds and frogs. Paradise. "

"The island road doesn't connect fully. However it's less than 2 hours to drive around the island. Plan accordingly. All of the rooms sit on top of the water and should have some kind of view. Quiet and beautiful. Hotel restaurant looked like the food was good and affordable (live crab and fish). Secluded and kind of hard to get to but worth it imo. "

"I enjoyed four nights in a bungalow on the front line of Kae Bae beach. The accommodation was very comfortable and it was such a pleasure to look directly out to the beach and water from the front door. And there was a lovely porch there to sit on and enjoy the scenery. In addition, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The town area is just a 6-7 minute walk away, but a concierge was available to take me in a cart.
