"Worth stopping here even if your are passing through. Such a pretty and historic place. The hotel is quite rustic but my room was fresh and clean. Get a room with balcony and enjoy the view of the square. The pictures are around and about the Town, less than a minutes walk. The proprietor was king enough to direct me to an area in the back yard of the hotel to park my motorcycle and unload more easily. A kindness much appreciated. Thank-you "

"Safe parking for my motorcycle very important. Room was cheap and perfect for a one night stay. Balcony over looked the square,excellent. The couple who owned the hotel were very friendly,helpful and very funny. The one poor thing was there was only a hand held shower head over the bath but we managed for one night and the water was hot. Wouldn’t want to stay for a week. "

"Shame they were not interested in helping more than once to set up their disabled ramp to allow my access on her mobility scooter. I had to lift it in and out afterwards. Rooms typically French with cramped en suite (our friends room loo door would only close for a short legged user. Only good accessible feature was the restaurant toilet set up for disabled, provided they had negotiated the 2 steps into the hotel. "

"La bâtisse est magnifique, tout comme son parc. Situé juste en face de l'entrée de la centrale électrique mais une fois a l'intérieur du jardin, on y pense plus ! La chambre est assez spartiate. Deux lits une personne collés mais un matelas très mou et le second extrêmement dur. Nous avons eu mal au dos au réveil. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel ! Tout est a disposition : fruits, pain, viennoiserie, jus, boissons chaudes, fromage, yaourt, compote etc ... Hyper appréciable pour repartir...

"Room was on third floor, no elevator. Shower was tiny. Shower head very low. No soap holder. Leak around the sink. The only chair in the room was broken. Decoration was non existent. An old, badly kept room. I would not recommend this hotel. "

"Nice stay, convenient location across from the street from the pebble beach. Hotel is priced high but there are only a few hotels in town and they know they have a captive audience. Rooms were decent with view of the ocean but ours were located directly on the sidewalk/street on the main floor. Breakfast was standard, coffee was strong, and we were pleased overall. However we were disappointed they did not put us in two rooms with two twin beds as we thought we’d arranged ahead of time....

"We stayed here for one night on our way to the Normandy beaches. The Chateau and grounds are stunning however there was no atmosphere and the staff were not very welcoming on arrival or helpful. The breakfast was at best mediocre and it was almost as if you weren’t allowed to talk or make any kind of noise in the breakfast room/restaurant."

"Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable aux Chambres d’hôtes de l’Orval. Tout était parfaitement soigné. La chambre était spacieuse et propre, avec une grande douche confortable. Les propriétaires – un couple très accueillant – ont tout fait pour que nous nous sentions les bienvenus. Le jardin et les environs sont magnifiques et contribuent à l’atmosphère paisible et reposante du lieu. Compte tenu de la qualité de l’hébergement, le prix est étonnamment bas – un excellent rapport qualité-prix....

"L'architecture du château est splendide avec son grand parc, cet établissement est très bien entretenu (extérieur & intérieur) ,c'est calme avec une décoration au goût du jour. Au niveau de la chambre, elle est confortable avec une literie impeccable, la salle de bain est grande. "Thank goodness the lobby staff helped me up 2 flights of stairs to my room. Although the room was clean it was a pity the carpet was badly stained and it looked like no effort had been made to remove it."
