Niantic is a lovely, small Connecticut village on Long Island Sound. It is charming. Plenty of family-owned restaurants, walkable, summer naturally has the most traffic, but it moves well if everyone is patient. Lots of arts and crafts fairs.

"Clean. Its a top priortity of mine when booking a hotel. Indoor pool, heated and the pool room was heated, and clean fresh towels, changing rooms in that area, nice addition. Complimentary coffee, was great. Check in very easy. Shampoo, conditoner body wash hand soap all available for use, and they are large sizes connected to shower wall and bathroom. I would absolutely stay there agajn. Air conditioner and internet worked great, air conditioenr does turn off when it reached temp.and will.kick back on, which makes sense. So if you need the consistent noise i recommend bringing a soudn machine or using your phone if the noise on and off is an issue for you. Convenient outlets on might stands. Loved this place. We are a familt of 3, my son being 5 and first time over night at hotel. He was vwry comfortable. Property grounds are well kept. I was up around 6:30 am and enjoyed coffe, the garden and waterfall, nice place to see birds and sunrise, located "
"Our stay was everything we were looking for, waterfront, easy on/off the beach from our room, lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach and nearby pool. Sunsets were amazing, lobster rolls in the piano bar were incredible. One day there was an issue with the kitchen and they brough complimentary spread to the pool area. July is expensive but it was definitely worth it. We live on Long Island and didn't have to deal with flying issues. Just a 2 hour drive and 4 days of relaxing sun....."
"This was the perfect place to stay for our family vacation. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is clean, conveniently located, and the staff was amazing! We are already planning our stay for next year!"
"The room was clean and comfortable- if you take a close look you can tell it’s an older building that has been updated by all the old lumps and dents in the walls they painted over lol. Otherwise it looks very nice and is clean which is the most important. Plenty of outlets in the room and a full length mirror! The two women at the desk when I checked in were very pleasant and informative however at check out the gentlemen at the counter was sassy and seemed to not want to be bothered. I arrived at the breakfast towards the end and it was just bagels with toppings, muffins, cereal, and hard boiled eggs.. not sure if there were hot foods earlier that I missed. Overall Id stay here again."
"Have been here a few times now. It is not 5star but it is decent and great value for the price, grear staff, always great people here and great location. The woman at checkin is always very pleasant and welcoming and this time upgraded for some reason which was great. Our 3 rooms ended up together with adjoining doors which was awesome. Like my past reviews, the rooms are a little dated but clean, spacious and bed was very comfortable. The microwave and fridge was also very clean. The fire pit is a nice end of the night stop and the free breakfast is good and nice add on. I enjoy the waffles and bagels and OJ. We took the limo to Foxwoods for the night and Jonathan is awesome!! We always have a great time here and always meet nice people staying here. We will definitely be back again! "
"We stay at the Hyatt prior to our trip to Martha's Vineyard. Safe, quiet, clean, and located next to several great restaurants and the Mystic Aquarium."
"The hotel itself is a little dated and has that old sanitorium like feel when you are inside but the price, location, and professionalism of the staff well made up for what the place lacked in “charm”. There are wild blackberry bushes right outside the front doors and a garden growing just off the back side. The room itself was incredibly large and way more than expected for a solo traveler on business. Everyone I encountered on the property was super friendly and helpful in navigating around the town. Food options were bountiful as you are close to the sub base and downtown area, ease of access to everything was an added bonus as well. "
