"This eco-resort is perfect for a relaxing break on a secluded beach. We stayed in a spacious beachfront bungalow for 4 nights. The staff are so friendly and accommodating! You can choose to do a multitude of activities and the staff are happy to take you. All of the meals are freshly cooked and are so delicious! We experienced a kava ceremony and a traditional dinner cooked in a lovo oven. I recommend this resort for adventurous adults who want to experience true Fijian culture and life. Come as...

"Wow! Amazing! Aka, Oni, Sia and Manu were amazing! I was fresh off the boat when I arrived here and they got me to Fiji time quickly! The most stressful part of the trip was choosing which hammock. Thank you for a great experience!!"

"DO NOT BOOK YOUR STAY ON HOTELS.COM. They will not have your reservation when you show up. Luckily the host is very accommodating and found room for me (I had to stay one night at the next door resort though). Overall, this is a very social, friendly, active resort. If you’re looking for a fancy hotel with hot water this is not the place for you. But there was so much to do (diving, snorkeling, fishing, hiking). Met great people and had great food. Would recommend but just do not book via...

"We loved Barefoot! Beachfront traditional Bure, plenty to do, and great food. Was a place to really relax, but still with enough to do for the kids. The extra snorkel and day trips do add up though. Will definitely be back. "

"Great coral and fish in front of the hotel, mantas are close by and amazing, resort is nice- more on the rustic side vs fancy, but we liked that. Overall a nice experience!"

"This resort mostly caters to the under 35 group. We had a bungalow in a quiet area away from the dorms, right on the beach. You could snorkel from your room or take a short boat trip to snorkel other areas and see manta rays. Meals are in addition to the room cost-set fee per person per day. The food was really good and the chef made us an anniversary cake that was divine. "

"The island is beautiful and the staff are top notch. They are all so friendly and always smiling. The main reason for going was the snorkeling and diving which did not disappoint. The corals were spectacular."

"The snorkeling is amazing! I'd sometimes go like 4-5 times a day. Staff are absolutely amazing! So nice and considerate. Great first time in Fiji. "

"The individual bures are in decent shape and quite spacious. The staff are nice and do their best, given the circumstances. The food is good for the price. The pool, deck, outdoor bar and huge dining area look to have been abandoned years ago. The flies are thick, to the point of being a big frustration. The beach provides a nice long walk, or you can walk the trail to the homestay on the other side of the island. Emily has a bar with nice cold beer and the beach there has a breeze, so fewer...

"My husband and I had a lovely six night stay at Waya Island Resort. Delicious food, attentive staff and a range of activities on offer if you’re keen. We loved the cooking class, kayaking and snorkelling. We left feeling spoiled and recharged. "

"One of the best places I've ever stayed. The location is perfect, forget any doubts about going to the Yasawas vs mainland. Staff are very friendly. Setup of the bures is amazing, would love to have some blinds or more privacy in the bedroom, this sounds worse than it is, minor thing. More flippers/ snorkelling gear would be great."
"My wife and ai have been all over the world at some of the best hotels and resorts, this is our top #1 anniversary trip we’ve ever taken! The service, the food, the atmosphere…all 5 stars all epic and we’ll be coming back! Absolutely incredible! "
