"What a beautiful place to stay! The staff, location and accommodation were excellent. We stayed in a pool access room. It was luxuriously huge and having the access to the extensive pool network, you rarely saw another person. Food at the restaurant was top quality and the 4-8pm buy 1 get 1 cocktails were lovely. The grounds are a tropical paradise and they look after your ferry transfers inward and outward. Thank you to the team!"
"What a memorable introduction to the beautiful island of Koh Lipe. The staff met us at the ferry and transported us to the most stunning accommodation! The restaurant has exceptional food, along with a beautiful breakfast on what felt like the edge of the world, overlooking the Andaman Sea. This place is for relaxation plus. Your private deck and pool offer a private space to take in the most amazing sunsets. The room itself is just wonderful. A slice of luxury. We visited in monsoon season and whilst the beach was still accessible, the pool was the best option. Just do it! 🙏"
"Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Everything was perfect. Staff is great ánd very accommodating. Will help with all transport too. The restaurant and it's staff are great. The beach is beautiful. Everything is within walking distance. Very quiet area."
"After my previous check-out, I was immediately welcomed with an early check-in at 11 am, a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the day. Adding to the charm was a complimentary tuk-tuk ride that whisked me further up into the neighborhood, showcasing the resort’s unique local approach right from the start.
The entrance, demure yet inviting, immediately set the mood. A warm welcome from a delightful couple made me feel truly at home. I was effortlessly ushered through the check-in process by the ever-efficient Ms. Aum, who swiftly snapped a copy of my passport. Before I knew it, Mr. Ton, the ever-attentive concierge, was already waiting with my carry-on bags, ensuring that every need was anticipated and met.
Strolling down through lush greens, I arrived at pool villa 6—a space that epitomizes rustic chic. Every little detail was meticulously curated, reflecting a harmonious blend of tropical elegance and simplicity. This enchanting villa served as the perfect backdrop for my “White Lotus”-inspired birthday getaway. Villa 6 aptly named “Jumpa” (Malay for “See You”), the villa felt like a heartfelt invitation to return, encapsulating the true spirit of serendipity."
"We loved our stay at the Idyllic and would highly recommend it. Excellent breakfast, lovely room and great views from the beachside pool and the beach itself. However, the absolute highlight was dinner on the beach at night in the hotel's restaurant...beautiful ambiance and some of the best food we have had in Thailand!"
"It's the second time we come to wapi in 2 years. It's a simple but great beach resort. You get nice bungalows with garden or beach. I prefer garden they are very clean and the garden too. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. They help you with usual travel stuff.
Also it's great for kids because of the trees on the beach, you won't have to worry too much because that protects them from sun.
We loved the calm and family like atmosphere. Often the Thai staff kids would join and play with mine. That's how it is and I like that.
There are only 2 downsides : mosquitoes (but that was all of koh lipe) and the fact that the air con was pointing on the bed."
"We stayed for 11 nights. We had a delux garden room. The room was basic but clean and tidy. Air conditioning and WiFi worked great. The view from the room of the sunset was amazing. The hotel breakfast was great with a large choice for everyone. The view from the breakfast area is exceptional. The beach is beautiful white sand a clear waters. The pick up from the ferry and shuttle to walking street worked really well. Value for money it was a great hotel in a stunning location we will definitely return. "
"Absolutley amazing stay, staff, hotel, location was beautiful. I want to give a big shout out to Katie on Reception, she was really lovely, friendly and helpful with our child. Would highly recommend and will return. Thanks."
"Sam Pita has an excellent location, about 5 minutes to Sunrise beach and about 8 minutes to Pattaya beach and about one minute to the north end of Walking Street. Sunset beach is about a 30 minute walk or a 3 minute taxi ride. North Point beach (Zodiac) is about a 12 minute walk. The staff are very nice, the breakfast was decent enough and the pool was a welcome change from going to the beach. The air conditioning worked very well and was quiet. There was great water pressure in the shower but didn’t get very hot. The room is very spacious with a mini fridge and a big washroom and a large shower. The WiFi was passable and sometimes was very slow but I read that this could be the case all over the island. The area is kept very clean and a huge bonus was that they have a service to pick up you and your bags from the pier - this was huge and a major stress reliever since it would be very difficult to take your bags on your own or hiring a taxi which would be hard at the rush when a boat arrives. I would highly recommend this hotel especially after seeing some of the other I was considering."
"Cabins were clean and tidy on arrival, the staff were also super helpful, probably the best service we received in Thailand.
The cafe on the beachfront was really nice, proper tasty food and drinks.
Great location, 5 minute walk to Walking street and right on the beach.
When we booked this initially our thought was ‘how bad can it be without AC’ for a few nights.
For us, it was a bit unbearable, really struggled to sleep while we were here, I can’t hold that against Castaways as we knew before we booked but it’s something you need to consider.
On the final day there was a whole bunch of ants that had invaded toilet and I woke up covered in bites that weren’t from mosquitos, not sure what they were but wasn’t very nice. After noticing the bites we took the bed covers up to check for bed bugs and it was kinda gross, not sure how often they change the mattress topper sheet underneath. "
"This is a very basic hotel room. Not really modern or chic, but it’s clean with a comfortable bed and it works. It’s in the middle of the island, so very accessible to everything by walking or taxi. Extremely close to the Walking street and all that is there. "
"The villa was so beautiful! The private outdoor rain shower was amazing!! The beach was nice with crystal clear water but too many boats and ferries. The sunset beach is a 10 min walk and it was quiet with white sand and turquoise water! Breakfast was superb and the tables are right on the beach. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect "
"This our 3rd stay at the property and as previously staff are very friendly and helpful. Value for money is good but the rooms and facilities are due for some TLC. The one complaint I would say is that the beach beds are used by people who are not guests at the hotel which I find disappointing as all the other hotels along the beachfront have signs advising for guest use only. Considering you pay a premium for a beachside location and you can’t get a sunbed in your own hotel due to outsiders taking them !!!!"
"The staff were super friendly, picked up and dropped off at the boat dock, clean modern rooms with sliders provided for ease of leaving footwear on the doorstep to keep floor clean. 3 minute walk down a lit path to the middle of Pattaya beach, 5 minutes away from the end of Walking Street. We could have done with some more storage draws but that won’t stop us booking again next year. Loved it, we have no reservations in recommending."
"We only booked one night, but bathroom smelled like sewage unfortunately. Though they were so helpfull with everything and we didnt go to them to solve it because it was just one night. Great for diving combi because its right at the beach!"
"We were disappointed from the hotel because we would have expected a little higher standard for the price we paid.
The hotel has a beautiful location directly at the beach, with a dive school and Italian restaurant as part of it.
We booked the Family Bungalow, which was spacious but very basic. Very loud at night as the wooden wall are so thin you can hear everything outside - late nights from the neighbors and a restaurant directly next door from another hotel. Make sure you bring good ear buds and mosquito spray. The toilet did not have a flush and we had to manually flush it with a bucket of water and it was stinking. The room was also very dark with no air con but only two fans. We tried to contact the owners beforehand to book a dive but never got a response either. Overall wouldn’t stay again. "
"Great place and convenient to the pier drop off point. Dada at the front counter check in is so kind and helpful we decided to stay another 3 days. Thank you Dada and crew! Keep up the good work!"
