"The hotel was clean and contemporary. It was sea facing and situated quite nicely to the best sunset view, fire show, food and shopping. The prices in Langkawi are much more reasonable. The hotel wasn't secluded, and I couldn't have picked a better hotel in langkawi. The hotel extended our check out till 2pm, which meant we could sleep in, rest, and feel more relaxed. "Very unique place. On our arrival we were given some refreshing drinks, it sll added to the unique experience this place has to offer. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet contains sone really good local options as well as some continental items. "

"The accommodation was great, the Beach Villa was like a dream, beautiful and clean with a sea view. The outdoor bathroom was also a nice touch, very comfortable. The only thing I was disappointed with was the mess and rubbish in the area and near the beach."

"Everyone is very happy and friendly. There are staff constantly cleaning the public areas. The bed is very comfortable. The pool is open great hours 8am - 8pm. The pool is very very clean even after the rain. I say that because I checked out of my accommodation early due to their two pools being green the whole time I was there and unusable and they kept telling me it was because of the rain. 🙄 the pool here is really big. There’s lots of poolside beds. You can get drinks by the pool. You can get some snacks by the pool. Everybody is extremely helpful. I couldn’t compliment it more."

"Our recent stay in July 2025 at Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi was truly exceptional and one of the finest resort experiences we've had as a family. The room was amazing—spotlessly clean, well-furnished, and incredibly comfortable. The front desk team, especially Ms. Fiza, was respectful, humble, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. There was another gentleman at reception, unfortunately i missed his name. We did face a small concern as there was no lift access to the 3rd floor, which was challenging for our family. Thankfully, Mr. Hakimin from the team was very understanding and quickly arranged a comfortable room on a lower level. His prompt support was much appreciated and showed the resort’s dedication to guest comfort. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, offering a wonderful variety of Malaysian dishes—from freshly baked items to roti canai, custom egg omelets, and more. The entire team at the breakfast hall was warm and attentive. We were especially impressed when the General Manager, Mr. Hafiz, personally visited guest tables to ensure everyone was taken care of—a rare and thoughtful gesture. The pool was another standout experience. It was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing with our family. In summary, Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi provided top-notch service, warm hospitality, and memorable moments throughout our stay. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Langkawi and would love to return in the future. "

Hiking around the island was awesome, we saw heaps monkeys, lizards, birds etc Boat transfer to the mainland is frequent, if you can drag yourself from paradise "

"Our favourite stop on our 3.5 week malaysia holiday. Has a very relaxed feel, immaculate gardens, long thin warm pool and the staff are excellent. Food was amazing so much so we ate there every night but one when we went to the night market. Hotel can deliver car to you for 100MR (£17) for 24 hours and arrange other trips. Cats are around if you dont like but are friendly - my son wanted to take one home! Did hear the prayer call about 5.30am which woke me up but to be expected on island. Also near airport so will be some plane noise but not very often. "

"We loved the location, on a quiet stretch of the island but everything easily accessible with a short Grab ride. The Ocean View Suite was huge and comfortable. We cooked most meals in the room and had everything we needed. Loved the infinity pool. "

"Really amazing place. If you are up for a super relaxing stay, Ambong Pool Villas is a great option. Super helpful staff are reachable via WhatsApp all day to provide service and advice. You can choose meals in your villa or in the resort restaurant. The villas are meticulously cleaned twice a day, including the pools (to remove leaves etc). The view of the surrounding environment from inside the villa is enhanced by huge windows that face the pool. Lots to observe, both flora and fauna. Villa 1 (Kemarong) was our villa, which offered amazing views of the bay and islands. It was also a great spot for sunset and moonrise. "

"Great three night stay at The Bayou. Staff were polite and helpful with check in. We stayed in the Deluxe Super King which was modern, spacious and clean. The little snacks and drinks vouchers were a lovely touch. Air con worked very well with managing the temperature. The aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful and all areas were well maintained. The pool was a great temperature and we never struggled to find sunbeds. View from pool is lovely, especially during sunrise. The food at breakfast was varied. We also ate from the bar menu each afternoon and food service was available from the pool loungers. Only thing I would like to point out is the gym was very small and only provides cardio equipment, with no weights on offer. Overall a great stay, we would definitely recommend the hotel."
