"It was a pleasure to stay with Shona this week. Very friendly and prompt communication. Upon arrival was a friendly welcome and tour of the property which was modernly styled, very spacious, and immaculate. The large kitchen has no shortage of storage, fridge/freezer space, very large oven, hobs, pans, crockery, utensils etc. and spacious dining area for 8, couldn't ask for more!!! Add to that an ideal location which is right next to the ferry port (first house on the left when leaving the ferry terminal) and just opposite the post office/local store right at the heart of the village. There is also plenty of parking outside / nearby and is nice and easy to get to all of the mainland both by car and bus (stop is just outside). Would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Shona."

"This place is a dream! It has a large and beautiful library that guests are welcome to use. The breakfast is delicious and provides variety of your choice. The accommodations are not only beautiful, but also very spacious. There are 2 windows in the bedroom that we could open to let in a cool breeze. The bathroom is incredible. The history of the home is truly amazing as well. The host, John, was very helpful. I can't recommend this enough. We didn't want to leave. "

"What a wonderful stay.. Graham, Sarah and Claire were such lovely hosts nothing to much trouble very accommodating from checking in to checking out.. Breakfast was excellent each morning cooked to order and evening meals were fantastic especially the fish and chips and homemade tartar sauce was so yummy.. The rooms are clean with lovely bedding and fantastic views of the beautiful island.. Can't wait to go back.. "
"We had a wonderful time at Burnside during our road trip through Scotland. Our suite was comfortable and provided all we needed. We loved walking around the tranquil setting and making friends with the local sheep. Our host was friendly, attentive, and the food wonderful. "The Ferry Inn is a combination hotel/pub with breakfast included on our booking. We ate dinner both nights in the pub restaurant. The food was good & they had several choices for each course. The location was excellent for the Scrabaster/Stromness ferry & it was easy to navigate to Kirkwall & all the sights."

We was shown to our room then went down for an evening meal, the food was excellent and we was made to feel as part of the family, it is a lovely warm feel place with lovely people and the rooms was amazing the bed was so comfortable.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful we would highly recommend staying in the Manor and meeting this lovely family it’s one of the best I have ever stayed in."
