"Located in a quaint, tiny mountain town that is fighting back after being decimated by last year’s hurricane, Old Marshall Jail Hotel is a hidden gem. Despite the downstairs, including the currently closed restaurant, being under major reconstruction, the second floor and our room was perfect. Combining rustic, old world charm and history with modern design elements, the river view room was incredible. The owner’s own pottery was a highlight. Can’t wait to return for a longer stay when the hotel...

"This is a historic apartment building that has been redone. The rooms are very cute, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is tiny, but it worked for our needs. The neighborhood is very walkable."

"Our stay at the Beaucatcher is as wonderful! The gentlemen at the front desk was so nice and always available when we needed. I’m going to miss the great quality sleep I got in that king sized bed. Asheville is still recovering from flooding but you could tell this little hotel was doing what they could to provide a top notch experience. We will be back!"

If seeing the sights is on your list of things to do, head to Craggy Gardens— just one of the landmarks located 6.8 mi (11 km) from central Barnardsville. Barnardsville has lots of other popular landmarks you might want to see such as Biltmore Estate.
"Check in process was quick and easy. Attached public parking garage so left my vehicle there for 23 hrs and it only cost $15 so thankful for that. Room was clean and spacious. Pool was small but large pool deck with cabanas. Stunning mountain views from the pool. Cute little inside bar with live music and good food. Great experience. Would def stay here again. "
"This is a great place to stay in Asheville. It is close to the sites and lots of great dining options.
The staff is nice and the house keeping is great (new towels daily).
The suite was very clean."

"The only problem that we had with this trip was that it's right next door to the Econo Lodge and the guy at the desk checking us in was very careful to put us in the quietest room away from the elevators on the top floor and he ended up putting us at the very end of the hall in room 601 which put us right beside the parking lot of the Econo Lodge so we had to hear the people coming in and out of there late hours of the night with their music blaring and they would not just get out of their car and go in they would sit in the parking lot with their music blaring. Other than that it's an excellent Hotel. Just don't choose room 601...lol... he was honestly trying to make us comfortable and to make an effort to put us in a quiet room"
"Beautiful room with super comfy beds. Quiet. Only issue was it was a handicapped room, yet the toilet was super low and had NO grab bar for elderly mother to pull up on. I scooted a small storage cube from under the sink area and managed to squeeze it in by the toilet and shower stall. It worked. But I would surely expect a handicap room to have a comfort height toilet with nearby grab bars. We also had a lovely light breakfast of yogurt, fruit and Starbucks. Very luxurious stay."
"Our room was huge! The hotel has historical exhibits throughout and was very centrally located. Looking forward to trying the new jazz place downstairs next time. Spa services were great! "
"I really enjoyed my three nights; price point, staff service, just the whole vibe of a busy hotel.
I only really marked down a category because the place has a somewhat dated but sophisticated feel to it (spacious rooms with lovely views with ‘popcorn style ceilings’) …
Generous room service was nice (lots of towels) and even fun to just people-watch in the grand lobby and listen to the front-desk staff accommodate just about every customer; this place goes above & beyond!
Highly recommend a stay here while in downtown Asheville!
