The breakfast was excellent, the bed comfortable & I was fortunate to have a nice view. Recommend for a short stay, either when visiting Belgium or passing through."

"Landing lights constantly flashing = electrical fault. Light above bed missing with wires hanging down in terminal blocks not taped up. Bathroom window rusty and paint missing around window frame. Dust on top of several things in the bathroom.
Convenient for station and comfy bed is all I can say that is good about the place. Just like a cheap Belgian hotel in the 80s, but it wasn’t cheap!"

We did not have a car and were able to walk everywhere. We planned our stay long before we knew about the Ghent Festival but enjoyed easy access to all of the music stages and festival fun. The annual noose bearers procession passed directly in front of the hotel.
An easy walk to Gravensteen castle, St. Bavo’s cathedral, the belfry and canal cruises.
