"The hotel is located on a mountain close to the center of town. It was very easy to go to the castle and garden by car. The breakfast was awesome and the room was very large and spacious. The view from our room was amazing, looking out over the city. "

"The hotel is very far from Okayama, 45 min trip on bus then 10 min walk. Not convenient to any of the sights. Very dated furnishings, the staff were very helpful and friedly"

"This is a motel, but it seems fine for families too. The room was very pretty and very spacious. The bed was king sized so plenty of room in it. The bathroom was fully stocked with nearly everything you might want. Everything looked pretty clean and stylish. The shower room was the real kicker though. It's huge and the bathtub was plenty roomy with jetbath nozzles everywhere. It also had a "Impressive bath" setting that made super small bubbles that kinda tingle. The one drawback was that...

"If you paid to stay at this hotel, you have already paid too much. The only redeeming quality of this place is the staff, they were friendly and polite. As for the building, to call this hotel "dated" is an understatement as it is right out of the 1960s. The room was hot and the AC was not working properly. We opened the windows to cool off, but the area around the hotel was not great. It was noisy and smelled like diesel. The room had a lot of dust and the carpets were dirty. I would not...

"Very budget friendly hotel with a nice deep bathtub. It isnt the most modern hotel but it was clean, comfortable and cheap. The staff were friendly, and although we were unable to utilize the free breakfast or dinner it was included (half board). I did think it would be a bit closer to the station but that was on me for not researching well enough."

"Nice hotel 20‘ by walk from the trainstation. Towels, toothbrush, pijamas and other amenities are provided daily. There is even an inhouse laundry service and a coin laundry.
It is not the newest hotel and there was some dust and stains here and there."

"I stayed for one night only. The experience was overall a pleasant one. The room was exactly what I expected, and I was happy with it. Location was ok, I walked there although could have taken a tram as well. I had a free breakfast and staff allowed me to leave my luggage for couple of hours after checkout which was nice."

It was a bit of a shock but it really didnt spoil our stay...we didnt see or hear anything remotely seedy and the staff were wonderful"

"Good hotel for a 2 nights stay in Okayama. Breakfast was mainly of Japanese style: rice, fish, vegetables, miso soup. Coffee, tea, orange juice completes the menu."

"Uno Hotel had amazing service, rooms, views, and sense of calm in our very busy and hectic summer trip to see the Art Islands and Okayama. We were able take 3 separate ferry trips and visit 2 places within Okayama on our 6 night stay. We never went to the onsen, but absolutely loved the area and the little coffee shop in the town that was also a hostel. We will be back!"
"Front desk stuff doesn't speak fluent English but they are very friendly and able to use translation apps to assist cusmoters. The hotel is located near a very busy street full of restaurants and bars but it's quiet inside."
"Small cigarette at lobby
And The rooms are old, but meals are included, so it's probably a good value for money considering the convenience. However, the smell of cigarettes seems to have permeated the building, so I don't think I'd want to stay there again."
"The location is great. The JR train station is just across the street, and lots of shops are in the station. The hotel's free, hot breakfast is wonderful and nutritious. My minor complaints are: The room decor is outdated and the bathroom sink drains a bit slow. But everything is well kept and clean. I love this hotel and keep coming back when I need to stay in Okayama."

"There is a machine used for check-in, so the process was very fast and easy. The hotel is a walkable distance from Okayama station and near the shopping street. The room was clean and there were amenities. The only issue was noise from the other guests could be heard from within the room, but it was okay with earplugs. Overall I enjoyed staying here."
"I liked the hotel, it had a laundry for 100yen and free ice blocks and drinks. The staff spoke english and were vwry friendly. The hotel was eady to find from the train station and qas centrally located in town"
"Premium Superior Twin Room (non-smoking)
Excellent room with lots of space, except for a tiny toilet.
Fast internet.
Pricey drinks.
Conveniently next to the railway station.
Tram stop not far away that goes to the castle and gardens."
"Great location close by the station and within walking distance of main attractions. 100m from shopping mall and supermarket. Staff was very welcoming"
"Excellent breakfast. Responsive and friendly staff. No frills in room but many amenities at front desk. 10 minute walk to station, and 8 minute drive to Sanyo. Shopping and eateries within a few minutes in all directions."
