"We loved that this property was within walking distance of the JR Station. This gave us the opportunity to day trip to Kyoto, and Kobe. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the property was clean and well maintained. Although our room was large enough for a family of four, it was just my wife and myself. For the two of us it seemed quite open and comfortable. The units all have a functional fully equipped kitchen. Perfect for families who are trying to economize. "
"The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Quick check in and out. The convenience store was located on the first floor of the hotel. "
"The bath facility and sauna was so beautiful and relaxing. Every room and super Japanese modern and designed/remodeled very tastefully. We had a very comfortable stay. "
"Location, staff and facilites all excellent.
Stayed in Japanese style room, only downside for me was matress was little thin as not used to slwwping on a hard floor. Would definitely stay again. "
"If you've stayed in one Tokoyo Inn, you've pretty much stayed in them all. This one hasn't seen some of the upgrades that busier locations have, but it's very clean and practically inside the train station."
"What a fun little hotel, it’s not every stay you have a sauna in your room.
The staff were super friendly - especially as there was initially an error with check in.
They offer a happy hour of free drinks and the bar staff joined us for a game of cards whilst it was quiet.
The area isn’t super ‘tourist friendly’ but when you’re in your room you won’t care. "
"I only stayed for one night - I was heading to the second round of the D1GP in Okuibuki the next day. The staff were polite, and handed me the tickets I had forwarded to meet me three. Thank you. "
"I loved this place. Im an english speaker and they did their best for me. Great stuff in the room. A lot of fun. Do know its a love hotel. My room and a speaker system. Only complaint is the 20 minute walk to the station. I like walking and thats not a bad lengthbut not everybody would like it. Mall right next door with plenty of food options. Gifu castle and the buddha castle are quite close. Nagoya is less than an hour away."
"Overall it is really an excellent hotel. Many of the rooms should be updated, but still they are adequate and spacious. The breakfast area can be busy, but there is a large adjacent room with plenty of space. The hotel staff were great. The onsen has a spacious indoor bath and plenty of washing areas. The outdoor bath is very pleasant, just be careful walking on the stone surfaces. The staff takes good care of the onsen and sauna. The location is good. You can walk to Nagahama JR station and the old town area is just beyond. The lake and the large beautiful next door park and castle is good for walking. There are not many restaurants open at night in central Nagahama, but you can probably find something."
"This hotel is not what is implied on Expedia.
this is a "love hotel" intended for sexual encounters, something we found out after the fact exists in Japan. the doors to the rooms are locked, and cannot be opened from inside. the rooms have condoms and other sexual devices on hand. To leave you room you had to call someone at the front desk (or some back room), at which point they could let you out. They also only spoke Japanese.
If this is what you are expecting, then fine, that is your business... but this is not made obvious on Expedia and you will be in for a shock if you are expecting a regular hotel. I am not as upset with the hotel if this is their business, the issue is how it is listed and described on Expedia... there was no obvious way to know what we were in for."
"Guest House proposant le minimum du confort. Les matelots des lits étaient plastifié et faisait franchement pas mal de bruit. Il n’y avait aucune salle commune et l’eau de la SdB n’est pas potable (ça a la limite c’est pas horrible). Je recommande pour son rapport qualité/prix mais c’était clairement pas dans la moyenne des Guest housse que j’ai pu vivre."
