"Highlight of my trip to Fiji although granted the bar was set very low , I mean look it needs a bit of a spruce up here and there but this is a 3rd world country my room was in the newer block was very spacious and comfortable , wifi was pretty diabolical but again its awful everywhere The beach is really nice and the grounds are beautiful too "

"I was immediately welcomed into the Nanuku Resort and felt like part of the family. The staff cannot do enough to make sure you enjoy your stay. Phenomenally beautiful rooms, wonderful food, views and so many activities to choose from.bathe guides are so awesome and will make sure you stay safe. "Amazing value. The pool is huge! The unit was also large. Easily accommodated 12 for dinner (we travelled with extended family and had 3 units but got together for some meals) and bedrooms were very spacious. Everything was really clean. Lots of food options close too - we enjoyed the West Grill, Diner, Chinese, coffee shop and waffle place (who made my daughter's birthday very special), and used the supermarket and vege stall too. Stay away from the indian place down the road opposite the pier. We walked to the beach across the road and down the stream and then along the beach to snorkel off the pier. The Pink Spa was also great - between the group we had braids, manicures, pedicures, massages - all great value."

"The bufet rules at night time was confusing at night, and staff where a bit stressful at that time. They need to prepare some instruction for guests to understand the prices and proceses, specially considering that their logistics changed id there was a private function. But otherwise was a great place, clean, with very welcoming staff, great facilities."

"Had such an amazing time at the beautiful peaceful location just 5-10min walk from Maui bay beach. Property: I came as a little solo retreat to take a break from NZ winters. The unit was exceptionally clean, fully stocked and I appreciate being able to cook myself- although there are a few restaurants and grocery store within 10min walk. The bed was extremely comfortable and I loved the fact I could get away from bright lights at night and the blackout blinds. The wifi was perfect for calls/work, and never had a glitch. The property was quiet and beautifully landscaped with abundant fruit trees and veggie gardens, and I was even treated to fresh papaya and banana's and offered garden veggies! I loved going down for swims at sunrise/sunset and was often the only person at the pier. The beach is swimmable all day, although at low tide it's recommended to swim off the end of the pier. The local's are incredibly friendly, most speak English and as a solo female travelled I never once felt at all unsafe. HOSTS! This was the absolutely best part of the stay. Dee and Ken and their family were incredibly welcoming, helpful and made me feel at home the minute I arrived. Anything I needed Ken helped organise and was always only a text away. Nacho (the dog) was a fantastic tour guide and would accompany me to the beach guarding me all day until I was ready to walk home. Thank you so much. Cant wait to return!"

"Excellent choice in Pacific Harbour! I just stayed here with a group of 21 university students at the conclusion of a two-week trip around Fiji. The rooms are large, comfortable, and in an attractive setting, and the price point for these rooms is an excellent value. The restaurant/bar/pool area provides a delightful environment for relaxing during the day/evening, plus the various specials that they run every day make for a very affordable stay. Moana and the staff are very helpful. Prior to our arrival, they assisted me in adjusting my dates with no problem, and also reached out to me via whatsapp to see if our group would like to attend their Thursday Island Night/Fire Show (which we did and thoroughly enjoyed). Throughout our stay the staff was very warm and helpful, and assisted us with any particular needs we had. Uprising is also part of the Duavata collective, which promotes culturally and environmentally sensitive travel across Fiji. This was my first time staying at Uprising, and I am very glad that we did. In the future, I will continue to bring groups here, as it is a great base for the various activities (diving, tubing, golf, fishing, etc.) in the Pacific Harbour/Beqa area). "We stayed here for 3 nights, from the time we check in easy communication with Hannah she also ensure us if we need anything just let her know she will try accomodate our needs. We booked queen double bed for 2 adults 1 child (5yr old) we love our room so cosy. We were lucky to have the whole villa to ourselves for 3 days. Our little one enjoyed the swimming pool and running around with no worries and the owner so lovely we had a full on conversation about life and future opportunities in Fiji. Two things we want to add is one maybe a small gas stove for the guest to use incase of a power cut. No: 2 a pump cleaner to keep swimming pool clean from dirt, Otherwise we had a peaceful stay at Pacific Paradise Villa and will definitely stop by if we are ever in the area again. "

But what really made the experience exceptional was Lucia, our daily property manager. She went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect during our stay. From giving us great local recommendations to being super responsive to any questions we had, she truly made us feel welcome and taken care of. "Unbelievable property, beautiful, remote, quiet, very relaxing. Have the best activities at one location, surf, scuba, snorkeling, river boats, plus probably much more. Wish I stayed longer. Great Food, easy dining included if you want. I just paid separately and it worked fine, breakfast lunch and dinner are great, staff worked above and beyond to make you have a great experience. Super quiet. Is about 2 hours from Airport, so either get a rental like I did, or arrange for Transportation. Nothing around, so probably should of just went with drop off/pickup, had plans to go to Suva, about an hour away, never did. Surfed everday, they access Frigates, J’s, Shifties and other local Breaks. They offer Shark dives for Scuba, wish I was certified as this appeared to be a world class opportunity. Boatman are awesome, Surf guide Tim was great, as were Scuba Team. Really a world Class remote operation with a much better feel than “High End” Resorts. More personable and real. Exactly what I was hoping for. Room/Bure was awesome, clean, quiet. Not much of a beach, especially at Low tide. Really setup for day activities, surf or scuba or snorkel. Had wonderful Yoga with other travelers. Can’t wait to go back when surf is better. "
