"This was a very clean hotel with incredibly attentive staff. Kudos for wearing sweaters for the holiday season!
The room was taken care of meticulously and we looked forward to coming back from a hot day's exploring. The welcome fruit and free minibar was a nice surprise.
The location was great. It was 3mins to the Sri Weld Food Court where we had several great meals and close to dozens of local restaurants. And being close to the shore meant getting to the Jetties and the local art tour was super easy.
All in all, a great trip made much easier with a fantastic hotel. "
"An absolutely fantastic hotel. We stayed in the heritage wing and found the staff wonderful, the food delicious and the room kept clean and tidy. We will be returning to this gem. "
Iconic Marjorie Hotel, Penang, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Modern and thoughtfully designed hotel with great amenities, courteous and helpful staff, and a hip vibe that belies the neighborhood. The bathroom was well stocked, the shower a pleasure, and housekeeping was unseen but we always had clean towels and water. Every request we made of the staff was handled promptly and personally, kudos for the outstanding service.
The location is, unfortunately, not ideal for such a premier property. The area is not really walkable, there isn't much to do around the neighborhood, and Grab drivers spent way too much time making u-turns due to the poor road layout around the hotel.
The blackout curtains were very effective but sound dampening could have been better.
All-in-all, five-star hotel in a two-star neighborhood."
