If seeing the sights is on your list of things to do, head to Laguna de Manialtepec— just one of the landmarks located 7.4 mi (11.9 km) from central San Pedro Mixtepec.
If you like the hustle and bustle of a market, you might want to head out to Benito Juarez Market in Juárez and take in the atmosphere. Splash some more cash at Commercial Walkway.
San Pedro Mixtepec is well-known for its attractions such as Carrizalillo Beach and Puerto Angelito Beach. This beachside city has something for everyone including sights like Zicatela Beach and Bacocho Beach.
"Casa Joseph has thought of everything, to sunscreen and aloe caddies bright to the beach cabanas to having daily yoga/fitness offerings. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable. 15 minute walk to either end of the beach where there are commercial areas with shops and restaurants. "
"We absolutely loved our stay and the property is well kept and beautiful as shown in pictures.
The wifi wasn’t good in our room at all but near the reception it was fine.
The staff didn’t really offer a solution to the wifi when we asked.
The only heads up I’d say is there is construction next door and it goes on from 8am till about 10:30pm. I think this should have been said prior and then you can make your decision about staying or not. We didn’t get that chance.
Other than that it was a wonderful trip and hotel. There is a French bakery down the street called Panorama, absolutely recommend it."
"There are so many wonderful things about my stay at Casa Mava. The staff was exceptional and super helpful. The property is beautiful and well attended to. The interior of my villa and the entire property was inspiring and relaxing. This will be the only place I stay when I return to Puerto Escondido! I can't say enough about the staff and my experience. All top notch and with so much care! "
"The property had a great ambiance. I was grateful there was a pool because it was quite warm and humid during our stay in July. The staff was amazing and the food we ate there was amazing!! Especially the coconut shrimp tacos!!! Sebastian was the bartender was excellent and made the best drinks!! I can’t wait to return!!"
"The rooms are really nice and were cleaned everyday. They gave us really good recommendations for food and going out at night! Which we appreciated since it was my first time there. 10/10 on recs! They were friendly at reception and anything we needed they helped. I would stay again I loved the vibes and aesthetics of the place! Gracias!!"
"great for the price. gave a feeling of old and rustic in a charming way. no a/c in the room i rented but the ceiling fan was perfect and hi-speed. staff was very nice. only 15 min walk to playa zicatela."
"A quiet, clean and peaceful place, with a helpful staff. I came to do some writing and enjoy the beach a bit. Very well-suited for a personal retreat: could happily stay longer.
There's a charming bookstore attached to the property, run by the partner of the owner."
"It was a very nice property. Nice beach. Very nice staff. The upper cliffside pool was closed for maintenace. However, they were working on updating the appearance, which it needed. "
"It matches the description. It is a very nice room with a balcony and a view of the ocean. The bathroom has a big tub on an open wall with a view of the ocean."
"We had the pleasure of staying at Punta Nayaa for two nights and to say it was a little slice of Heaven is an understatement. Right from the beginning, the staff was attentive and friendly. We arrived at the hotel very early and they were happy to keep our bags for us, and let us lounge around by the pool till our room was ready, which they had us in well before the check-in time (very much appreciated). We booked the king with roof plunge pool, which was stunning to say the least. The food the hotel offered was also amazing! They have the best sourdough bread I have ever eaten. It's located in a quieter area, which was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle by the beach. The walk to town is on dirt roads for the most part, so just bring decent sandals/shoes and you shouldn't have any issues there. We also arranged the Bioluminescence lagoon tour and our transpiration to the bus station through the hotel, which was easy and convenient. I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience at this hotel. We definitely will plan to stay at this hotel again in the future, it was beautiful. "
"Location close to the beach and restaurants and stores, bus station walking distance, Hotel has amazing views, Pool was perfect and staff was very friendly, we stayed in Diamanté room highly recommended."
