Christchurch City Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Would have liked to have tried the Bar - Open - but didn't realise it was closed Sundays and Mondays and we were busy Saturday. Lovely room with a view towards the Cathedral and the Spark Building. The room was spacious and had all that we needed.
My only concern is the 2 homeless people that slept outside the entrance to the Hotel all weekend. They didn't cause any bother that I saw but very off putting. The receptionist said the Police keep an eye on them but they never moved.
Thanks to the Hotel for giving us a late checkout on our last morning. Much appreciated."
"We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were all very helpful. We enjoyed having our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel, the food was delicious.
The rooms were nice a quiet and the beds were very comfortable. "
"The guy on reception was very helpful and as we mentioned my other half watching English football in the morning he gave us a late checkout - boys and their football
I booked an apartment as gives you that bit of extra space !
Kitchen and washer a god send - we are back here later in the week -
We could walk to a tram stop and into town we also went to the casino last night no luck though "
"Staff were terrific, all amenities were fabulous, the property and restaurant were awesome, and the location was perfect for walking to get around. Recommend a second kitchen."
