The accommodation was fine IF you could get in! The entry system from the street was broken when I arrived at 7:30pm and was still so when I left at 10:45 the following morning. At one stage I was one of approx 15 people waiting outside on the sidewalk for another guest to leave before we could get in. There was NO meaningful support. Phone calls to resulted in vague promises of "security" being on the way. The chat (a bot presumably) was worse than useless. Avoid unless you're comfortable with the possibility of being left on the street.

Excellent location. Check in and out was smooth. Rooms were clean, mattresses were comfortable but mattress frames do need some updating. Too low to ground and has a cheap look. Should definitely need some updates in the furniture.

The location for this property was ideal for the main areas in Chicago. We had a 4 bedroom apartment. They were spacious enough for what we needed. We did have an issue with no remote control but the live chat sorted that within minutes.

Great for a family trip

We would absolutely consider a Sonder apartment again for a trip - it was wonderful to have space for everyone to stretch out a bit and a place where we could eat-in after each day full of museums and 7+miles of city walking! Having a bathroom for each teen plus one for the parents was wonderful. The beds are not the most comfortable - memory foam isn't my favorite mattress material. Other than some crumbs on the floor when we arrived in one bedroom, the unit was clean and the access was easy. Plus, a safe location and fairly sound-proofed, Definitely a repeat option for our next trip to Chicago. I'll have to see what they have elsewhere!

Great Location and Amenities

Perfect for a girls' weekend get-away. Close to CTA station and walkable to many attractions and restaurants. Comfortable and well-stocked with basic necessaries (dishes, cutlery, glassware). Added plus was the roof top terrace we enjoyed on the unseasonably balmy October evening! Our only complaint was not being able to stay longer. We hope to be back.

Great apartment, we were given an extra bedroom which we used as a wardrobe. Well equipped, modern and well decorated. Full cooker, fridge freezer, microwave. We were provided with tablets for laundry and dishwasher. Washing up.liquids, towels and toilet roll. Great shower. Loved the location. We enjoy cities and walking. Trains a very short walks (several L stations). Target was a 15 minute walk, great independent coffee shop 2 mins from entrance. We will use Sonder again.

The space was perfect size for the group that visited. We spent most of our time out of the room and mainly used it as a place to sleep. The air units in the bedrooms off of the living room/kitchen would only heat and not cool so it was very warm in those two rooms.

Location for being downtown is great. The place itself felt and appeared cheap, including cabinets crooked, bed sheets that felt like paper, no soap by certain sinks, curtains that let in a lot of light in the morning. The place also isn’t very well insulated for sound, luckily our neighbors above weren’t too noisy but given there is nobody on premise to help with anything if there was a situation like that you’d probably be out of luck.

Very helpful staff. Clean apartment in a good location. Walking distance to everything. Inside the apartment is simply too COLD. The heating system didn't work well. It's at best 55 degree in the living area and the two rooms with windows are definitely below 50 degree inside. It shall be fixed.

Bruised in the shower

I booked a 3 bedroom apt at the Plymouth Sonder location in Chicago for out of state family traveling to chicago for a family reunion. The accommodations themselves were well appointed and comfortable and centrally located to all downtown Chicago attractions dnd transportation. My grievance is with management. My 69 yo cousin slipped and fell in the slick surfaced shower badly bruising her body badly enough to require immediate medical attention. Notification was made to the Sonder help number provided on the reservation and while sympathetic, they did nothing when asked if they could provide a non slip matt for the showers (other guests were experiencing near slips). The help line response simply dismissed it by saying "we don't have those on premises". Should an emergency situation arise, just know you are alone to deal with it.
