This property seems to be a haven for transients. It doesn't seem to be a hotel. There are a lot of people milling about at all hours by the entrances smoking.
The room was bare-bones functional. The lobby and hallways had a peculiar odor. (My husband referred to it as the smell of desperation.) The room was clean but completely sterile. Only ceiling lights, no lamps for reading. No coffee anywhere; not even in the lobby.
I guess to be fair I read that you had to bring your own stuff, but who brings a coffeepot for a two night visit to relatives?
Whoever was staying in the room above stomped around all night, and I mean all night, or else they were bouncing a basketball. It woke up us both nights. Not sure how you pace in a room that size but it was totally annoying.
So I won't be staying there again. If it had been a cheaper room, I might have understood, but it was more expensive than the Hampton Inn down the street and Hampton has a free breakfast.
