This was a wonderful stay, right in the heart of Monastiraki, which is like a hub of activity! Despite there being a restaurant right outside, we were on the 2nd floor, and couldn't hear a thing - great soundproofing! The roof terrace is lovely and the breakfast was also great - made to order! Would definitely stay here again, it was perfect.

Nicely located and comfortable

The Artist Athens was a nice hotel with very clean rooms. The daily breakfast is made to order and tasty. The rooftop bar is great and the restaurant looks good but we don’t get a chance to try it. The location is amazing - easy to walk to all of the main attractions and area for restaurants, shopping, site seeing and quick bites. Staff was very nice.

Movie Magic From the Roof

We had an issue with getting into our room due to a broken, glass door. The hotel comped us drinks as a result. We loved the rooftop bar. A highlight from the bar was watching a silent, black-and-white movie projected on a building across the street, with a view of Acropolis Hill lit up in the distance. It was lovely! Unfortunately the movie projector was not working the second night, so we were not able to repeat the experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay at The Artist in Athens. The breakfast every morning was very good. The room was comfortable, with a beautiful view of the neighborhood church. We did an excellent cooking class with Chef Spiros and enjoyed eating our creations in the fabulous rooftop restaurant in the evening. We found the location convenient for walking to points of interest, though the streets near the hotel are quite narrow. Overall, we would recommend this hotel!

Hotel breakfast is very generous, the bread basket has assorted Greek pastries in addition to bread. Wide selection of main courses to choose from and best of all, it ends at 11am, later then most hotels. Sound insulation can be slightly better. Like the terrace garden on second floor too. Only issue is that shower ceiling has a beam which is slightly low so sometimes bump slightly into it.
