Overnight Stay

Good parking facilities. Room ok for an overnight stay.
CHRISTINE, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

The hotel is desperately under staffed but the staff that are there are brilliant and can't do enough for you, so well done.
Barry, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

Room comfortable & clean. Location good, close to the beach & away from the noise of the town centre.
1-night trip

4/10 Poor

The room so outdated furniture from the 50s
David, 1-night trip

4/10 Poor

Old and outdated, most things are battered and breaking. Carpet is ripped, shower curtains discoloured, paint stained and old. The staff were lovely, just let down by the building.
Archie, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Service was friendly and helpful
Kevin, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Beautiful old building, great location and good breakfast. Friendly staff. Downsides were the shower curtain was tired/old/dirty and the towel rail was on/hot in the height of summer with no ability to turn it off. This felt like a waste and bad for the environment as well as heating the room up when it wasn't needed. Also the shower temperature could not be changed, so it was cold for ages then very hot, with no ability to do anything about this!
Victoria, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Location was very good, short walk to the clock tower and shops. Staff were brilliant. Check in was smooth and we managed to get into the room a little early. The room (we stayed in 319) was as described, it had a very big balcony with a view to the sea. The bathroom was quite small but we could live with that to have the balcony and views. The food was excellent, we booked bed and breakfast but also had a dinner in. Breakfast was buffet style. The dinner menu gave a reasonable choice of items. Whilst the stay was value for money and we would stop here again, purely for the above reasons, the hotel in general was in need of some work to bring it back to it's former glory.
Keith, 2-night trip

4/10 Poor

Very very tired hotel, in need of a major uplift, worn carpets etc, only boiling water in the shower! Paid an extra 80 pounds uplift for view , expecting sea view but got a view of a shed! Room clean was poor, bed hardly made up and coffee cup not replaced and no coffee sachet refil.
Anthony, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

Hotel was ok,we arrived on 03/09/25 and dropped bags of and went straight out so didn’t use the bathroom till the next morning ,it didn’t look like it had been cleaned the sink was very dirty,I went to put something in the bin in the bathroom and it was completely full off (used sanitary towels) it made me feel sick and couldn’t go down and eat breakfast so ate out.not good.
Paula, 1-night trip

6/10 Okay

The room had not been cleaned properly, the bed were terrible ,and the shower didnt work properly ,and this is all in a room we paid to be upgraded to
Donna, 2-night trip

6/10 Okay

Disappointed overnight stay

Real shame that this hotel has gone downhill, stayed overnight and was very disappointed in the condition of our room, our door lock was broken, so was given a key? To our amazement we could lock from outside but not inside? We had a tiny bolt to ensure no one walked in. The bed was ok comfortable, bathroom needed updating, shower screen not clean, mould & flaky paint, nice spider & silver fish in bath Breakfast however was good, and staff polite, helpful, apart from milk jugs left on tables, milk was off Overall disappointing :(
1-night trip

2/10 Terrible

There was dried poo on the floor, a plastic bag over the fire alarm in our room , seen better views on a building site , bed to small ,couldn't see to make a drink no lamp the only seat in the room was old and unsafe , the tv was very small and blurred , no Wf , the sad thing is had been 5 times before and had good rooms but it was disgusting this time , did offer to pay an up grade but told didn't have znymore rokms but know full well the 2 rooms opposite us were empty the 3 nights we were there , will not go there again and this is the first yime and last we will use your company, we usually go away up to 6 times a year so very upsetting
Sylvia, 3-night trip

8/10 Good

Only minor criticism was the small room.

Room was spotless with all facilities with friendly staff. We enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast and again the service was excellent.
