We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel during our stay. Both excellent (but not cheap). 5 stars for the downstairs, the food, and the staff. The beds are too soft, and the curtains barely cover the windows, so you might not get a great night's sleep. In winter at least it would not be light at 5AM but in summer - you are not going to get a lie-in, even if you don't mind a too-soft mattress. A shame - downstairs looks like a lot of thought went into it, and the location just opposite the StadtWall of Innenstadt is terrific, and also a short walk from the railway station.

Absolutely no issues but one... no coffee in the room. One can ask for an electric kettle and teabags, but there is no coffee. It sounds goofy but this is the only hotel in 45yrs of living abroad and international travel that this has occurred. Otherwise, everything is brilliant, five stars.

Friendly, very helpful staff. Restaurante is very good. But if you are staying there and you need to work, the chair/table in the room is unsuitable of sitting and working. Room otherwise is very clean and good. I visit Gottingen for work, so next time I will find another hotel.

Ein nettes und sauberes Hotel in Göttingen mit guter Lage. Die 19€ Parkgebühr über Nacht finde ich aber ganz schön stark, wobei es für das meiste Klientel dort aber wahrscheinlich eh kein Thema ist. Nett wäre wenn im Aufzug der Hinweis zur Nutzung der Zimmerkarte hinkommt. Denn beim ersten Nutzen wunderten wir uns warum der Aufzug nicht fährt, bis man den Kartenleser entdeckte. Aber sonst ein echt schönes Hotel, wobei ich im Doppelzimmer die zusammengestellten Betten mit "Besucherritze" nicht so toll finde beim schlafen da man dort fast wie "geparkt" drin lag.

Insgesamt eine sehr gute Location. Restaurant konnten wir leider nicht testen, da Sonntags geschlossen - die zu Fuß schnell erreichbare Altstadt, bietet aber einige Alternativen. Die Bar des Freigeist ist ein Muss! Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit
