I love the Sandcastle! I was so pleased to see new carpet and furnishings. It was a little road weary the last few years. The hot tub really needs an upgrade, but otherwise it was lovely!

My Son and I enjoyed our stay very much. We had a 2 bedroom, fireplace, balcony etc that was really comfortable and roomy. Having the beach across the street was awesome as the view is quite beautiful! When we come back next Spring we are planning to stay there once again.

It was a good hotel but there were some issues with a high pitched noise outside our room for over an hour in the morning that took awhile to fix. The amenities are lovely with the bikes and the campfire and the lodge. The rooms are a bit old and could do with a bit of an upgrade. It’s a lovely property though.

Made a reservation in March for a week … got to the resort and they only had accommodations confirmed for us for 1 night … blamed Expedia and wouldn’t honor the remaining 6 nights … very disappointing experience

The lobby was clean, warm, and welcoming and the staff was friendly and attentive. Our room was spotless and well-appointed. We didn’t have a room facing the bay, but we had a nice view of the field and little lakes on the opposite side of the resort. We enjoyed the view from the observation deck and we also enjoyed the space and games in the club room. We did not see or use the fitness center and it was just too cold and windy to try the pool and hot tub. We also did not eat any meals in the on-site restaurant. We could definitely stay here again.

They gave away my room 6:30pm (2.5 hours after allowed check-in time) and then when I showed up at 8pm to check-in, they said they gave it away. They took no responsibility. Totally unprofessional, scummy hotel. Do not support these people.

BEWARE!!! This company has no checks & balances in place to track bookings they allow by third parties. We prepaid three months in advance for a week's stay and were told AFTER we drove 800 miles and arrived at the lodging that we were only guaranteed four nights. We had to scramble to find available lodging away from the bayside area where we were staying. No advance notice, no help getting us the information we needed to seek a refund for those cancelled nights even though they said they would. Expedia was great and stepped in to resolve and get us a refund, but Worldmark is a JOKE!

I do like the location, right off the beach. The view of the pool with a personal BBQer was perfect. While checking in Bella was new but extremely kind and professional. The lady training her did a great job transitioning between Bella and myself to fill in the little details.
On the flip side when I booked the room I was under the impression that we would be staying in the building next door. All the contact information was for the front desk at a beautiful intimate building. I ran into Paul at the front desk who didn’t not have me in the system for a stay. Then he directed me to the hotel next door. A bigger multiplex with a car full of my family I was in panic that I had been scammed I called the contact number from the app and it dialed Paul, the same front seat who didn’t have any reservations. Finally, I found a second lobby at the building next door. It was actually a condo at Worldmark by Wyndham. I had to go through the begging of going to one of their presentations. I was asked to commit at check in and we received 4 phone calls to our room about attending. A few extra dishwasher soap, laundry soap and trash bags would be helpful.

I booked 3, 2 bedroom condos for an annual end of school celebration trip and when we arrived, they said they didn’t have room for us. They gave our rooms away due to a miscommunication with Orbitz. I booked them over 6 months previously and they still gave the rooms to someone else who had just booked them the day before. The kids were in tears and I had 3 carloads of people with no place to stay after traveling all day. The front desk person blamed it on orbitz and said it happens all the time, which I find ridiculous. Orbitz blamed it on world mark. No one wanted to take responsibility until I finally made a big fuss and they told us they would put us up down the street at a crappy holiday inn in a nearby town which was not comparable in the least. They finally agreed to move our reservation to another comparable hotel but we were charged an extra $90 per night for the hotel service fees and had no kitchens to refrigerate or cook all the groceries that we had purchased. We had hundreds of dollars of food spoil and had to spend hundreds more to eat out every meal. Overall, I am completely disgusted with how the whole thing was handled. Oh, and I was charged a cancellation fee of $168 which Orbitz is refusing to refund even though canceling was not my choice. Simply inconceivable.
