Rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Access to two major subways and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Great food nearby

Ok for the price , but I probably would not stay there again. Front desk person at check in was very friendly and nice. The front desk person after her was kind of rude and did not provide good customer service.

More than satisfactory for the price. If you need a clean, well-lighted place to park your luggage and sleep, this is it. The desk clerk was quite pleasant. They do charge 30 bucks for taxes, etc. when you check in. I knew that because Hotels.com told me about when I booked. A very lively neighborhood is a bonus, and it’s just a couple of blocks from the legendary Dimes restaurant and Metrograph theatre. I’d give it five stars but then everyone would expect the Hyatt and be disappointed.

Clean with a great a/c real nice guy at the front desk on check in, a good deli for grub and coffee across the street on the corner and a short walk of 10 minutes to Little Italy, Second stay there and will go back again and park close by in a garage at 2 Division Street
William, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

It was a nice small room, comfortable for one night.

The location was convenient. However, the reception was very lackluster in help. After asking about upgrading to another room with 2 beds, the receptionist replied, without looking, that every room was occupied. Upon walking into the room, there was a roach crossing the bed. After checking with the receptionist about this, I noticed a mouse run through the lobby. The morning of check out, we were woken up by somebody banging on the door down the hall. This happened again about an hour before check out.

My room was clean and comfortable. Other visitors were friendly. The location is good.

Exactly what is needed for a hotel room. A+
Jim, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The rooms are bigger than the typical NYC hotel within the same price range. Close to transportation —train- buses. The lobby always has a raw food/meat smell but if you bypass that, it will be a decent stay.
Betsy, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

Conveniently located in the heart of Chinatown. Within walking distance to restaurants and subway station.
Madeline, 8-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very nice staff, small room but was perfect for myself and my partner. We enjoyed our night in NYC very much, thanks in major part to how kind the staff at the hotel!

This hotel is not in a very good neighborhood. The subway station is only 3 blocks away but you have to walk through a very sketchy area, we saw drugs being bought in the park between the hotel and the subway and also saw some empty syringes on the ground too. We had 2 different rooms because our first room would not lock when we tried to leave. Both rooms had views of Chinatown with tons of garbage piled up on the sidewalks all 4 days we were there. Our reservation said "city view" and I'm not sure what that meant to them but I wasn't expecting to see the dirty streets of Chinatown. Also both rooms that we stayed in had near empty rolly of toilet paper in them, and no additional rolls. I had to track down a housekeeper halfway thru our stay to ask for another roll of toilet paper. I was also told housekeeping would come every other day so I was expecting at least one visit for our 4 day stay to get new towels but they never came. I will say the room had excellent heat and great water pressure in the shower. The bed was very comfortable as well. Overall, the room was ok and affordable but not worth having to deal with the unsafe neighborhood and subway commutes.

Staff friendly. Had a bottle opener for me to use. Great location. Spacious rooms. Clean and quiet. Great value.
Orest, 3-night trip

Room met expectations

Adequate room, met expectations. It was fine for 1 night. I expected the room to be loud and it definitely was. Very convenient location in Chinatown.

Great location

Excellent location. This is a no-frills hotel, but we had a clean room, hot shower, and a comfortable king sized bed. This was inexpensive relative to most other hotels in the city and was perfect for us as a home base. The folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful when we had. We would stay again.
