Kirkjufell hotel is a simple, unpretentious place. The price however was higher than a 4 star hotel in Reykjavik. The breakfast was simple too: bread, crackers, cereal, hard boiled egg, some jam, tea and coffee. No skyr! The shower leaked outside of the enclosure. In summary: way too expensive for what you get.

There aren’t many options of places to stay in town. This isn’t a luxury hotel but it served its purpose. We slept well and the continental breakfast was fine. The bathroom was not nice but we managed.

Room was clean and spacious; also very comfy mattress! But our room was up two sets of stairs and there is no elevator! Which was not ideal with the luggage… breakfast was reasonable! Overall we enjoyed our stay.
