The room was clean, and the staff was quite friendly. However, the website was a bit unclear about what to expect if you are staying in residence. There are no amenities except a fridge and a microwave. There is a stove top range, but no pots to cook with.
The furniture was new, but it was all metal, and the bed was quite uncomfortable. There is also no A/C and the window only cracks open a little.
If you're just looking for a room to sleep in, then this room will probably work, but you have to be inside the building at 10 p.m. and you can't leave until 6 a.m.
The other issue I had was with parking. I was provided a parking pass, which I truly appreciated, but the parkade I was assigned to was half a kilometre away across from the hotel, which was kind of a pain if I needed to get anything out of my car.
All that being said, I would consider staying in the residence again if it was a better price. I understand that there were suites with A/C, so ask about that if you plan to visit.
