We choose the hotel because it is close to our shinkansen arrival and airport bus departure. All trams also starts at the railway station. Interesting for us was the free breakfast and it is japanese style which surprised us.

We really like the Toyoko Inn chain. Free breakfast included. The amenities are very good. Just be careful when booking, the smoking rooms are really for smokers, a lot of cigarette smell and it seems that the whole floor is for smokers.They kept our bags pre check-in and post check-out.

Very clean room, convenient location, and a good price. Two downsides: only one elevator so it can take a really long time to go up or down, and the stairs are closed unless it’s between 7am and 10pm. Other downside is that the bed is really hard- it feels like just a box spring, no mattress.

The complimentary Japanese breakfast was fantastic especially if you go early. Pleasant memories of many dishes my mom use to make. Laundromat was clean and convenient. I would definitely return here when I’m back in Hiroshima.

The hotel was decent but didn't leave a strong impression. The location was great, just a 5-minute walk from Hiroshima Station. The staff were helpful and professional. However, the breakfast didn't suit our tastes, and the items we preferred were depleted due to others taking more than their share, with no replenishment.

Excellent hotel , the service second to none. So close to Hiroshima station. A couple of minutes walk to the team stop which takes you into town within ten minutes. They kept my luggage, gratuit, I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are small but this is expected in Japan. Solo traveller didn’t have an issue. Their wife is good too.

Very close to Hiroshima Station. Checking in is through a machine but there is staff to help you. They held onto our luggage when we arrived early and hours after checkout. They also called a cab for us. Good selection for (free) breakfast! Only downside is their beds are nearly rock hard. But I can sleep on anything after a long busy day. Rooms are tiny but we didn’t spend much time in them. This is our second stay in this hotel, due to cost and convenience.

Pros: Close walking proximity to Hiroshima stn. One block away from nearest street car stn to go to Bomb Dome. Cheap. Breakfast included. Cons: Horrible stench in room and bathroom. Bath tub drain partially clogged and you can smell the sewage emanating from it. Dated building. One tiny elevator, have to wait a long time to get on in the morning.

This hotel had the smallest room we stayed in during our entire trip. Super awkward with tiny toilets. The breakfast was so bad. Everything was cold. The food was cooked, but it was left out in trays to get cold while other trays were still being served from. I was so happy that we only stayed one night. It is close to the station and close to tram lines, so that's in it's favor. The toilet was really really small. There's only one elevator. So your wait can be quite some time, especially around the early checkout time of 10am. You will not be able to check in early without paying 1k yen per hour early regardless of hotels.com member status.

The hotel's in a good location. It's close to Hiroshima Station, right across the Enko River towards the south. The complimentary breakfast was nice. The menu varies day-by-day, so it's not the same every day. There is only one elevator in the hotel. And because of that, there's a lot of waiting when many people are going to different floors. There was no space for my large checked luggage in my room. You'd have to awkwardly angle it on the narrow space on the floor, or simply unpack on the bed. Medium-sized and carry-on luggage will be okay. The window soundproofing needs some improvement. I was on the 9th floor facing the river, and still heard noises like driving cars and traffic signal sounds.
