The property was relatively nice on the outside and beautiful on the inside. The host (Alli) made the stay. He was awesome and full of information. They have a small geothermal pool / tub on property you can use free of charge. Very nice!

Das Hostel liegt sehr ruhig und abgelegen. Es ist von außen etwas unscheinbar, aber von innen ist es sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Es war alles sehr sauber. Und der beheizte Außenpool, den wir nutzen durften, war das Highlight. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Our host was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was impressive and everything was delicious. Though the 4 rooms available don’t have a private bathroom, the common toilets and shower were very clean. And it was very nice to have a sink in the bedroom. The guesthouse was located in a mountain-fringed valley, the setting adding to the overall charm snd warmth of the stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, as was the shared sitting / dining area. Of note was the delicious breakfast and charming hosts. This was a gem.

This is a VERY CLEAN guest house that boasts a kitchen, living room area, and a HOT TUB! It is a bit away from lake Mývatn, but worth the 20-30 minute drive. The owner is lovely and worked hard to make sure our room fit our needs. I would eat off the floor at this place - very clean. Hot tub was wonderful after exploring the area around the lake.

Winderful Stay

We had an amazing time in this gust house. The owner has done the place up really smart and sophisticated. The host is very friendly and provided great local tips and helped us see the Northern Lights! Which can be see from the lawn of the guesthouse which over looks a dark, light-free valley. We loved our stay.
