I don’t trust the reviews, something is not right here. First, there is no hot water unless you shower at odd times, because the whole hotel seems to share one domestic-grade hot water tank, even the en-suites. We were there in the off-season, so I cannot fathom how anyone takes a hot shower during peak season unless they coordinate with every other guest in the hotel.
Second, reception is only open for 3 hours per day (11am-2pm) and that’s not even reliable; they are unresponsive even during those hours. Parking is not available, despite being advertised as such, so we had to find somewhere else to park and couldn’t register our car with the city to avoid the newly implemented €200 fine because of course reception wasn’t open at 5pm, despite them asking for our ETA…why ask if you won’t respond or be available to assist?
Next, WiFi was only available in the corridor, not in our room.
Finally, there is NO sound proofing on the windows, so we were kept up into the wee hours of the morning, mainly by reversing trucks and shouting workers restocking the bars and restaurants below. It’s a city centre, so some noise is to be expected, but I’m from a big city and this was a whole other level of disruption on a nightly basis.
I can only assume that the majority of the reviews are fraudulent, frankly.
