2nd time staying at the Hermosa Hotel, facility is clean and pleasant, area around hotel is quiet with plenty of options for food, entertainment and shopping. Shirt walk to the beach or ferry landing.

Good location but the hotel is definitely ran down a little. Flys flying around the inside entrance area. No heater in the room so was freezing all night and morning. Bed was a little uncomfortable on the cheaper side forsure. Also was the cheapest room so I guess you get what you pay for.

Good value and location

This place is a good option if you’re looking for inexpensive accommodations and are not planning to spend much time in your room. It’s in a great location within walking distance to just about everything and the staff was very accommodating, but the rooms are very small with minimal lighting and no seating options. There are also a lot of stairs and no elevators, which was not an issue for us.

It was a great time definitely felt like your own apartment. The only thing we would complain about is the bathroom. Very small but that wasn’t the problem just a bit dirty and needed to be updated. Booked this for a cheap 2 night stay for a fishing trip for my son and I. Probably the smallest room I've ever stayed In. There was really no closet or place to store anything. The bathroom was so small you had to contort your body to make room to close the bathroom door. During the night it got chilly but we could not get the heater to work. Room was very pricey for what we got but it's Avalon and everything is expensive.

Staff was super friendly. We had a cottage that seemed a bit more run down than represented in the site photos. I get that the place is old, but just little things like fixtures painted over, nails in the wall where pictures used to hang but had been left and painted over (i.e., cheap paint job), light switch cover that didnt fit so the door frame was chiseled away to make it fit. The bed was comfy and the place was clean however so overall it was fine. The proximity to town also cant be beat. I would stay here again.
