Room was tidy and clean. Staff very busy but courteous. Amenities old but clean. I was travelling alone. Unfortunately, I was allocated a room absolutely directly above the billiard table downstairs and patrons of the Brewhouse continued to yell and swear late into the night. The music from the Brewhouse was also extremely loud. I did not take into account that the Brewhouse closed at 11pm (not 10pm as stated on Facebook) on Wednesday nights. That was an unfortunate oversight by myself. However, the accommodation did not appear to be booked out so I would have appreciated a quieter room at the other end of the building, given there were plenty of other rooms available. I will not stay here again unless I was with a big group of friends and intended to be out all night, thus the yelling and screaming and loud music would not have been a problem.

Good for one night stops along the great ocean road, rooms are above the bar — so noise is as expected, but it stopped around 10pm. Washrooms and showers could use an upgrade though. Overall adequate for a budget stay.

Friendly staff Quiet and safe. Very clean . The rooms had a comfy bed and water taps and a support for cases. However there was no chair. Also a tv would have greatly increased the comfort of the room for minimal cost .

This is an amazing Hotel with its own signature Vodka, Gin and numerous boutique beers. The tasting room and bottle shop everyone should experience at least once and right opposite the beach. Location! Location! Location! Great food , great parking and nice friendly staff.

Great location and beer was nice, but rooms were dirty and beds very uncomfortable, you can hear loud music until about 11pm. Shared bathrooms were dirty and only 2 showers and toilets for all the rooms.. wouldn’t recommend if you need a good rest, but guess it’s cheaper option if you’re on a budget.. could be cheaper for what it is, a hostel..

Room wasn’t available till after 5.30pm. Beds were comparable to sleeping on the ground, clean sheets with stained covers. Tap in room leaked constantly. Shared bathroom was dirty, piss on the ground and condoms in the sink. The pub itself is ok but I’d never stay there again.

Staff were excellent. Very friendly and efficient. Room was minimalist but comfortable. No TV or coffee/tea production option. Hallway light beamed into the room all night through a window above the entry door (no blind or curtain). Doors were ultra thin so every noise was heard (People walking to, during and from shared bathroom use. Door very squeaky.

You get what you pay for

The pub itself is nice thou I didn’t drink or eat here The room a queen bed it was only just ok The shared bathroom and toilet were not cleaned once during my two nights stay with other guests leftover empty shower gel bottles on the shower floor a full rubbish bin and no paper towel the whole time, both toilets and showers should be cleaned morning and night especially being that they are shared amongst all guests A bath mat should also be offered The room was not made on the second day I had to ask for fresh days which a friendly young man got for us I also found it strange to have to enter from the outside around the back up some undercovered steel stairs that could be dangerous if you slipped

I’m not even sure where to start with this review. It would be easier to just say the only good thing was that the showers had hot water. The standard of this accommodation is best comparable to that of a hostel, except it comes with a price tag of $195! No bin in room No lamp in room No tissues in room No tea and coffee in room Door doesn’t lock properly Door loud and creaky Floorboards and bed creaky Cold tap squeals, hot tap roasting Constant noice from something motorised below, this continued all night long No plug available for sink or bath (apparently there was a leak from the bath a while ago, so they removed plugs to stop anyone using bath! - how about fix it or put an out or order sign on it) Wifi rubbish Bathrooms old and neglected Shared bathroom doors slam shut (wakes everyone up) Rust marks from shower fittings No signs of any renovations in at least the last 30 years No hotel ambience or any evidence of someone at least trying to make it look nice (example no cushions, plump pillows) There was nobody around to feedback to on checkout, so I offered feedback by email (and requested a refund) and no response to date. I am leaving this review simply because I do not want anybody else to pay this sort of price for accommodation and expect a reasonable standard of accommodation, because it’s far from reasonable.
