Beautiful hotel, but unacceptable service – no room cleaning for 2 nights
I stayed at Hôtel Plaza Québec par JARO (August 21–23) and, unfortunately, what could have been a great experience was completely ruined by unacceptable service and a total lack of accountability. Despite staying two nights, our room was never cleaned — no fresh towels, no trash removed, no beds made. I reported this issue to two housekeeping staff members in the hallway, and then again at the front desk. I was ignored every time. No explanation, no apology, nothing.
When I insisted on speaking to a supervisor (at 2:00 PM on the second day), I was told there was no supervisor available. No one even tried to resolve the issue or follow up. We were simply dismissed and treated with complete indifference. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for a hotel that presents itself as upscale. I’m requesting at least one night’s refund, as I paid for a full-service hotel via Expedia and did not receive basic housekeeping. It’s truly a shame, because the hotel itself is beautiful and well-equipped — with a pool, restaurant, and other great amenities. But none of that matters if guests are treated poorly and basic standards are not met. Until service improves, I cannot recommend this hotel, and I will be taking this issue up with Expedia for compensation.
