Absolutely shocking hotel! Each time someone either went to the toilet or for a shower I heard every moment of it. All through the night!! DO NOT STAY HERE. room is in terrible condition. New carpet and a lick of paint to the walls would go along way. The shower….lets just say that a geriatric could piss stronger!!!

Absolutely awful. There are two parts to this hotel. Very confusing. Room was very small for a double room. Poor layout. Blinds broken, terrible mattress and small bed for a double. Don’t think room had been cleaned properly for ages. Dust everywhere and glasses had lipstick marks☹️
Only good thing was lovely fluffy towels

Hotel needs some redecoration in the restaurant. All staff excellent.
Good value and would use again.

Horrible. Doesn't just need an update, its a gut job. Carpet was literally threadbare, pieces of baseboard were missing, built up dirt in the corners, some sort of black film around the edges of the bathtub. No bed bugs, but hundreds of tiny little bugs (maybe some sort of moth). I have felt like my skin is crawling ever since I left. It could have been £0 and still not worth it to stay here.

As my favourite hotel the mercure in Aberdeen was unavailable this was my only choice it been Bank Holiday weekend
On your own is a brand I won’t even use as they have run down hotels and a bad reputation.
This hotel was an exception to the rule as they gave me a room on the top of the hotel in the attic so I could people watch as per my request.
Room 301 was clean, nice and comfortable and the only downside is that I wished windows opened to let fresh air into the room or a fan provided to cool down the room .
Hardworking friendly Asian staff and I noticed some of the guests were obnoxious towards people who were different from themselves .

Do not go to this hotel . They steal your money and do not give you a room .
They did the same to a young couple and the girl was pregnant , sli.e of humanity for me .
Hoels.com are just as bad as they refuse to give you your money back aswell , twice in a row . The last hotel had slugs climbing up the door and the roo.m was full of rubbish , but they still refused to return my money .
AVOID THIS HOTEL AND HOTELS.COM OR YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY STOLEN FRO. YOU .
The staff on the front desk were the epitome of what is wrong with the UK and couldnt understand ain English . Choose either at your peril

Such a waste of potential. Hotel is located very centred. Rooms themselves are not bad as well. However, whole hotel was very dirty. There were hairs on the bed and bathroom. Room floor was quite dirty too. Lastly, password entrance for rooms did not feel much safe. You cannot lock the room when you are in. Just automatically locked system but password is known by whole staff. Long story short, with improvements that could be much better but I wouldn’t stay in the way it is now.

I booked in for four days as my wife was in hospital but got out after 2 so thankfully l checked out early. The room was pretty threadbare, no curtains/blinds on the window, one towel and no bathmat. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz but somewhere inbetween would have been nice.

This so-called hotel is an abomination and a stain upon the very concept of hospitality. The building is not merely aged; it is rotting, a fetid carcass masquerading as accommodation. The stench of stale smoke clung to every surface as if the walls were exhaling decades of filth and decay. The room was nothing short of a health hazard — a grotesque, festering chamber that should be cordoned off and demolished immediately. It is nothing less than scandalous that this disgraceful hovel is permitted to welcome guests. I would not wish a night here upon my worst enemy.

Automated check in needs a little work.
Cheap and good location.
Room doors have codes rather than keys so they are heavy and make noise when opened, but apart from that peaceful stay
Room small side, but still had wardrobe, bath, all facilities needed. TV had Netflix which wasnt expecting.

Basic room at a reasonable price for the quality of accommodation. The rooms are showing there age. Badly scraped walls, damaged paintwork, frayed carpets etc, but good clean linen on bed. Bathroom of a reasonable standard. Hot towel rail and large fluffy white towels. Located centrally for the city centre.

Kudos to the staff who helped us with the last minute request and the assistance on the issue with boiler.
Overall a good budget friendly option and scope for improvisation.
