We had a fantastic stay at Royal Marmin although got off to a rocky start as we were shown to an unmade room and then substituted to a 'holding room' until they could allocate a sea view room the next day. Given it was our honeymoon, which we'd notified of beforehand, this was disappointing. The rest of the stay was great though. Lovely hotel in a great spot.

Loved the ambiance. The staff are kind, attentive. When we needed the services of a doctor they were helpful and arranged everything we needed. Very hilly, but they are quick to offer services of a golf cart/club cart. Rooms beautiful, elegant, full of opulence. Breakfast buffet well stocked and great options.

This was a great hotel with a Fantastic breakfast! The staff are very kind and helpful! There are 2 main reasons we rated this stay a 4 out of 5. 1). The floor tiles are Extremely slippery when wet. Be very careful getting out of the shower!! 2) The food and drinks around the pool and beach are way way overpriced! We observed most people just ordering water….the hotel really should consider lowering their prices.

It is the gem of Crete and the best spot in Elounta. Loved every second of it! Food was off the dial and top notch and the only hotel with the best private beach! Special shout out to Gregor and Chris, and all the other friends we made! Best of the best! A true five star! Can’t wait to go back and nice and early in 2024! Must try Samurai Sushi as it is the best sushi and sashimi I ever tried and I am from Vancouver Canada which is known for top notch Japanese. Poseidon is a must as well and special thanks to Marianna and her team!

It’s a lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are particularly amazing and hospitable. The only downside we found was how expensive everything is once you’ve checked in: €1.50 per coffee pod in the room with no kettle for making anything yourself, €30 for one hour of the tennis court, €20 extra for one-hour late check out (we didn’t choose that option), etc. The upside is that it does force you to go out to explore Elounda and Plaka for dining options, and there are some amazing ones. That being said, it is a stunning hotel and it’s clear a lot of love and thought has been put into it. Worth a visit, even just for a night.
