Perfect for our needs. Nice to have pool on a hot day. Dated but comfortable. Would have been nice to have milk and ordinary teabags, only Earl Gray provided. Unfortunately very noisy people in unit next door, coming and going, very loud, until 4am. Would recommend

The motel is located next to the state highway, convenient to access, to 15 minutes from the Waitomo caves. The host, Margeret is very friendly and helpful. She provided milk when we checked-in, and also offered to dry our wet cloth that we got from the previous activity. Although the facility is not the newest but it's very clean and convenient. I am happy that we stayed there for the night.

We had a very enjoyable stay: friendly staff, very quiet room with no traffic noise. Clean room,comfortable bed and nice bathroom with high pressure shower. Wifi would have been useful plus a small jug, so we can refill the kettle as the bathroom sink is too small to fit the kettle under the tap.

A good place to stay in Otorohanga near to Waitomo Caves. We stayed as a family and the two bedroom unit is quite functional, with enough towels and kitchen utensils provided for 5 people (bed #5 is in the living area, with 2 separate bedrooms). It's a beautiful semi-rural outlook at the back, with nice views, though steep - right on the side of a hill. Despite being on a highway it was beautifully quiet at night, and dark, with minimal light coming in which was a plus. Staff are friendly and helpful. But there are some shortcomings. The property is quite old - the key looks positively ancient, and it didn't feel all that secure. Sheets on the beds are too small and keep coming off - had to leave the heating on at night (which worked OK). The worst bit was the shower though - the floor is so slippery it's actually a hazard, several of us nearly slipped over in there. This definitely needs some attention.

Margaret was super friendly. We had a nice 2-bedroom with kitchenette. Not super fancy, but clean and had everything we needed. Good location only 5 minutes from the Kiwi house and 15 minutes from the Glow worm caves. There's a small pool, which was nice.

The welcome and check in were exceptional. Margaret was absolutely lovely. The room was great. Well presented and very clean. Only complaint is that is quite noisy and there was a group that were up all night and so bad we left at 4am

The manager was so wonderful and helpful. I would recommend this motel to any travelers. It was centrally located to most of the sightseeing in the North Island, kiwi house, glow worm caves, geo thermal geysers, botanical gardens, shopping and places to eat. Our bed was very comfortable, the other 2 which the kids used were too soft for them so we took them back to their tiny house. Check in and check out was extremely easy. I give these accommodations a 10 plus.
