Lovely old inn and tavern. Lots of little extras provided, like distilled water for the coffee maker. The breakfasts were delicious. Housekeeping came daily. Close to town and Sears Island, where you could stroll on the beach or do some hiking. Highly recommended!

SO disappointed 😞
We were very disappointed in Homeport Inn and Tavern. We were not aware that our room had to share a bathroom down the hall with another room. I would never expect a room at that price to have no bathroom of its own. At $300 a night for 3 nights (over $900 prepaid). For that much money we should have at least had a bathroom of our own. It was so uncomfortable that we left after the first night and took the financial loss on the other two nights. The owner did not offer to make it right even though there were other rooms available (per the VACANCY sign out front. Also-the tavern which is downstairs is terribly overpriced for awful food and charges each person a cover charge to pay the little jazz band in the bar area (even though we were seated in the dining room and were not at all interested in the band/bar in the other room). The food was awful. I had a $24 grilled chicken Ceasar salad (they charge $16 for the salad and another $8 for 1/2 a chicken breast) and the tiny piece of chicken was completely raw in the middle. We travel a LOT and have stayed in hotels, motels, inns all over the world, but I have never been disappointed like this in accommodations. This inn takes 1st and only place in ‘most disappointing vacation stay ever’, It was quite obvious the owner is just grabbing for money in any and every way possible - even at the discomfort and disappointment of her guests. I can’t see this place lasting.

Friendly, Beautiful Inn
Lovely old inn with great food and entertainment via the tavern on the premises. It would be nice if TV was updated for streaming apps and information about WiFi was not shared in the room info.

This place is an absolute delight and I wish we were staying longer! The staff is incredible, the place is impeccably kept (and decorated), breakfast was perfect and they even have a cool tavern that the owner kept open for us to have a nightcap after our 8 hour drive. We would definitely come back - and will! What a charming find!

We loved the charm of this property and very much enjoyed the use of the common spaces including the library and pool table. Check-in and check out we're very easy and the hosts were communicative. The space is historic but impeccably clean. We would certainly book again.

You should stay, wonderful historic inn
I highly recommend staying at Homeport Inn and Tavern, it’s a beautiful property and the owner and host is extremely friendly. The property is historic and very nicely renovated. Beautiful, and I mean beautiful common areas and up to date comforts that you don’t always find in an historic inn. You should definitely stay. We also highly recommend the attached Tavern.Trust me when I say that it’s not your typical bar food. I had the halibut and my partner had the ribs. Both entrees were delicious. The tavern hosts musical venues and jam sessions. We were there and had the opportunity to listen to Keltic music; it was magical.

Great little B&B with a cool history. We were greeted by the owners upon arrival who were super nice and gave us the lay of the land before leaving us on our own. There is a tavern located below the rooms with a private entrance for guests. The music from the tavern can be a little loud if you're planning on going to bed before 10pm, but the food & service at the tavern was FANTASTIC (chef prepared and inspired - don't miss out on the specials!) Even with few guests during our off season stay, breakfast was warm and ready for us when we made our way to the enclosed veranda in the morning.
Highly recommend this little slice of heaven.
