Nice views of river across road. Reasonably situated near town (car ride rather than walk), the room was a little dated but the cleanliness made up for this. Bed very comfortable. Ablutions clean and adequate. We stayed 3 nights and very good service.

Absolutely amazing staff!! We had a flight delay from Auckland and found ourselves arriving after the check-in desk closed. We contacted the motel and they were incredibly kind and efficient, getting us set up with our room still and saving a trip up the river the next morning that would otherwise have needed to be delayed or cancelled. Can’t say enough how great they were, and so kind the next morning too. Room was well outfitted and very comfortable, with everything we needed. Right next to a walking path on the river and maybe 10-15 minute walk from the main couple of blocks of town where restaurants and other shopping/mail/atms/etc are.

It was an old worn out motel. It was winter and for 3 rooms there was one small space heater. We had to warm up the room using the oven. It was clean and the staff was nice. The milk was excellent.

The Riverside Motel was clean but a little tired and needs some renovation to bring it up to date. Although the price paid reflects this as it was almost half the price of other places we stayed in this trip. The rooms are clean and there is everything provided that you need for an overnight stay.

Property was dated in terms of the decor (1970/1980s) but rooms had been kept in really good condition and well maintained which made the decor somewhat appealing for someone who can remember this era. Lovely place to stay and convenient to the city or walks on paths alongside the river. Would recommend and would stay here again

Clean and tidy but Very dated rooms, ants 🐜 in the kitchen in the morning. While I know this is beyond owners control there was a reasonable amount of traffic noise. TV 📺 remote didn't work. The bed was quite comfortable though. Reasonably good budget accommodation.
