Just ok
This stay was used to be close to EDI airport for an AM departure. Hotel reminds me of an old Holiday Inn. Room had carpet which feels gross. One of the beds had blown out springs but luckily it was used for my 9 year old. The upside is the pub had awesome food. Great for a short stay for a night

We chose The Richmond because it is a short drive to the Kinneil House, which was on our list of historical buildings to visit. We highly recommend The Richmond, for its charm, excellent food, friendly and helpful staff.

Steer clear
The bed were awful. No mattress pads, the twin beds caused my adult daughters back pain, the double bed was worn and uncomfortable, the comforters were lumpy, the hot water was scalding, and the pillows were hard and uncomfortable. The 'family side' is a second class motel rather than a hotel.
Our worst stay in the UK by far. Do not recommend.

Decent
Overall decent stay for the price, comfortable bed.
They hosted an 18th birthday in bar area which was very loud & went on until 2am.
Also the desk & bed side tables hadn't been cleaned properly.
You could hear every little noise through the thin room doors.
