Stony River Lodge is a little old motel along Hwy 34 between Loveland and Estes Park. Our room was small, but I expected this based on the description and pictures on Expedia. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
Coleen, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

100% would go back! Staff was very nice and accommodating when original booking couldnt be honored. Upgraded us at the same price! Also a nice welcome basket waiting for us. Never had a large chain hotel do that for us. Nice view and river is easily accessible for fishing or dunking your feet. Just the stay we needed to de-stress from everyday life.

Beautiful drive from Loveland (15-20 min.) The owner is a lovely person who really cares for guests' comfort. I loved the relaxing area with table & chairs near the Thompson stream / river. Access to where we planned to go was convenient and easy. My only wish was for a corkscrew/wine opener in cabin eight (8). Thanks so much!!

10/10 Excellent

We loved our stay in the cowboy room. It was a cozy spot that wasn’t too close to major towns, but also wasn’t too far to go get dinner if we needed. Loved having the kitchenette and dishes so we could eat in the cabin when we wanted to!

Stoney River Lodge was the perfect spot to stay for a trip to RMNP. It's a reasonable distance from DIA and RMNP hikes. This place was super cute and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Our host was also very sweet and helpful. The views from our patio was beautiful and we couldnt have asked for a better stay.

Great plave to stay along a nice creek

Nice quiet place to stay for 3 nites. Right next to the creek with a nice sound all night. There is an area with chairs to watch the roaring creek, play horseshoes, a net for vollyball. About 10 miles from Estes Park (E Park is way busy/expensive to stay in)
Ken, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

The Lodge is quaint, fairly isolated, and old fashioned lodging. We found it comfortable, and quiet.
