Beautiful scenic area. Well maintained bush property. Beautifully appointed quality cabins to stay in. Meals at the Wilderness Centre lovely. Lots of short and longer walks beginning and terminating here. Very popular with hikers of all ages.

8/10 Very good

Weather was not great, however the facilities for our family were just right
Wendy, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Absolutely amazing place. The lake is spectacular and the Lodge sits beautifully alongside it, letting you take it all in. It’s literally in the middle of ‘nowhere’ and what a place ‘nowhere’ is! Great service, great meals. Extremely memorable. Recommend.
Anne, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Nice place, but limited experience

Great location, good site room, you have to know that when using water the waterpump is going on snd that is very loud, you will your neighbours. As good as breakfast was, dinner was a very difficult story. They tell you „when“ you can order, nothing on the menu can be changed (if you like salad insted of chips or vegies, not possible), it then takes ages till you get your dinner. Quality is good, but the way and the feeling… not a nice experience in such a beautiful spot! Also the hotel does not tell you that it is wirin the national park and you have to get a pass. It would just be nice to know up front what the cost is.
Sabrina, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

While some may consider it a bit pricey the lodge is an excellent location to stay at, in very close proximity to wilderness especially in winter. It has very warm sleeping quarters and living amenities and excellent food to enjoy.
John, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Would definitely stay there again
william, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great stay with excellent dining options. Lake is beautiful in morning just down from chalet. Mo and other staff were very helpful.
Dale, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Staff were super friendly and meals were excellent but very limited selection. The cheap (non Tasmanian and completely out of character) furniture was a let down.
David, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Amazing international trained staff. So welcoming and more than we were expecting
Trevor, 1-night trip

Great place, friendly staff, amazing atmosphere, clean and warm. One suggestion, would be nice to have a phone in room to contact main reception if needed. We had no mobile reception to contact main reception
Kerri, 1-night trip

Comfortable and cosy cabins in a beautiful setting
Julie, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very quiet and relaxed, but hard to get mobile reception in the area. However, it can be a good thing too.
