Charming, discrete hotel with chill vibes

I had a great stay. This hotel is super central but located down a quieter side street which is perfect, especially on the weekend. The staff is lovely and the arepas for breakfast each morning with homemade hot sauce and fresh squeezed fruit juice hit the spot.

I was pleasantly surprised! I did not have high expectations thinking it was just a bed & breakfast type of place which I usually don’t like. This turned out to be a slice of paradise. This is my second time staying here. The staff are amazingly kind and helpful. I absolutely love them. The only issue I had this time and it’s more with the way the payment system is run. So I payed them $10000 as I arrived for my three nights. The day we were leaving I had $76 in incidentals to pay. Their cc machine couldn’t connect with my bank so I said you have my card details just charge it when it’s back up. My taxi was outside waiting and I had a flight to catch, they refused to let me leave. Made me feel like they thought I would not pay them the measly $76. Eventually after about half an hour I guess they called the owner who sent me a link to pay online. I don’t blame the staff at all. However the owner needs to change to a better policy as this left a bad taste in my mouth. I still love the place, location, food and above all the staff though.
