Loved this hotel - excellent position as a base for us walking the SW coast path. Rooms were lovely and the receptionist was so helpful and a real asset to the hotel team, helpful and welcoming - THANK YOU :)

Clean and comfortable rooms. Good location.

10/10 Excellent

Lovely historic hotel in Lynmouth right by the water. Be aware that check-in ends at 10pm and front doors lock at 11pm, but staff are friendly and helpful if you need any accomodation around that. We called and were given instructions on how to get our keys on arrival after 10pm. As for our stay, the hotel was comfortable, quiet and lovely. The breakfast options were quite nice as well.
Silvia, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

All the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Lovely hotel, central to everything. Food was plentiful and very nice. We will definitely visit again
Jay, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The decor of this Victorian building is superb. From the floor tiles and reception rooms decorated in the style of the era. Our bedroom modern and very clean. All the staff were lovely and we were allowed to park in the private parking, a real bonus! The breakfast was superb.
Christine, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The decor was lovely and unique and our bedroom was so comfortable stylish and had great views. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Also if you can, have a massage, it was wonderful!
Caroline, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Loved the boutique decor and quirky nature of the building. The setting is perfect, right by the waterfront. Parking is a bit of an issue, so don't come back to the hotel until 4 pm, when parking is better ( fewer daytrippers). Bed was hard and pillows were not very comfortable, but that was only my taste. Breakfast was very good with a nice buffet and choices for cold and hot cooked food.

Lovely Spring break

Great stay at a quirky cool place. Really nice and good value meal in the bar. Staff were really attentive and genuine. Recommended.

10/10 Excellent

The staff were very friendly both in reception and in the dining room. The breakfast was fabulous with lots of fresh choices. The bedroom was a little dark but cozy and comfortable. The room was made up clean and tidy every day. It was lovely and quiet at night.

Lynmouth in style

Really great hotel, spotlessly clean and lovely staff Room was bright and airy - you could actually open the windows, bed comfy. Breakfast was amazing.

Nice cosy hotel

Nice cosy and friendly hotel with pub, good breakfast, attentive staff, allows dogs hence we stayed there. Only two negatives…small very firm double bed not king size, and pub/restaurant didn’t serve food until 18:30 in the evenings.
Trent, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Lovely room and comfortable accommodation, central to Lynmouth with lovely restaurant on site. Would recommend and hope to return soon 😁
Fiona, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Very warm welcome by the duty manager Ran who kindly took our bags to our room so that we could order our late lunch in the bar. His hospitality and that of all the staff including Mavlouda in the restaurant was very attentive. The same for the bar staff whose names I unfortunately did not get. Our room was very comfortable with a large walk in shower and plenty of tea and coffee. The view was lovely
Brian, 2-night trip

8/10 Good

Very nice hotel run by nice people. The bed and the room (we had a suite) was a little small, but we got used to it. We had our own parking which was very convenient. Breakfast was well prepared and good service.

Victoria, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

First impressions of an old fashioned hotel are immediately dispelled once you scratch below the surface. My beautiful clean and tidy room could not offer more. Good quality bed, nice decor, up to date bathroom with amazing shower, heated towel rail, extractor fan etc. The hotel is attached to a colourful pub next door and annexed by a dining room. Pub and restaurant staff are cheerful and professional. Small menu offers a good variety altho I'm must say, my creamy fish pie was a little dry for my taste. Great selection of ales and vino. Location of course is A1 and the hotel overlooks the harbour. The car park is reserved for Suite residents. When I looked out of my window this morning it was empty bar one car. On arrival I failed in my request to squeeze in on my non Suite status but there is easy parking on the street which is effectively free from 4pm until 10am. I would say the prices are favourable compared to the Rising Sun and criminally neglected Rock House. Neither have the vibrancy of The Bath Hotel.

Great hotel for exploring North Devon

This is a great place to stay if you're considering exploring Exmoor and the North Devon coast. There are numerous walks along the coastal path or inland following the river. Very helpful staff and a very relaxed atmosphere.
Stephen, 4-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Great location & helpful staff. Our "Artist" suite was spacious, comfortable and had a balcony with table & chairs overlooking the harbour.
Christopher, 3-night trip

Amazing stay

Absolutely amazing stay. All the staff where so friendly and welcoming. When we arrived there where two Karen’s shouting at the female staff member and she handled it beautifully. Would highly recommend getting a sea view suite if you can. Would definitely come back again.
troy, 2-night trip

Short Stay In Lynmouth

We booked for a 2-day short break in Lynmouth. First impressions were low due to dark decor and lighting in lounges, dining and at reception but this was the venue 'style'. However, and despite the climbe to the top of the building, the hotel was great. Breakfast was excellent.
Richard, 2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

This is a fantastic hotel. Lots of charm and character. We stayed in a room overlooking the sea, which is always a bonus. The room itself was great, with stunning décor and furnishings. Loved it.
Peter, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

I was a little perturbed that there was no onsite parking but the hotel gave me a complimentary carpark ticket for the duration of our stay which was valid for all council carparks in the area and this worked out well.
David, 7-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The property is in a great location, central, on the ocean. The only problem was I had a parking space with my Suite but it was always taken by someone else and they couldn’t do anything about it. Better signage and consequence would be better for offenders.
Carole, 3-night trip

2/10 Terrible

Poor service, noisy - strange in peak season.
Mr M S, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Lovely rooms, limited parking, one horse town

The communal areas suggest it's a bit fusty, but the room we stayed in was lovely (Aviary). Staff were excellent, as was breakfast. We didn't eat in the evening so can't comment. It wasn't so much of a restaurant as a bar with dining (but there's not much choice in Lynmouth, so eating here may be the best option apart from fish and chips from the Esplanade). We were fortunate to arrive out of season because it meant we were able to use allocated parking bays usually reserved for people staying in suites. However, it was the first we knew that parking for other room types was not available, so beware. There's not much in Lynmouth apart from spectacular views, so unless you're on a walking holiday, you might want to stay just the night, as we did.
