long weekend getaway hotel in NYC

Location could not be better, right next to Penn Station. Room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast selection was not bad but dining area is tight considering the size of the hotel but overall it was clean, safe and very central location. Check in staff, esp Jamel was very helpful so was the mechanic patrolling the building. Breakfast team was working hard to keep up with the guests demand. Strongly recommend for anyone visiting NYC.

Loved the location!! Perfect proximity to transit options and the lovely Chelsea area. Clean hotel, great service! The only thing that I didn’t love was the loud music playing in the bar every night. I love to wind down with a relatively quiet night-cap after a day in the city, so the loud music was a turn-off for me. But, others may like that vibe… to each their own.

Almost perfect!

Everything is great. My room was quiet (thanks for my neighbors too) and the window view is incredible, which made me lesser stressful even with working in the room day and night. Now laundry got price higher than before but still convenient. The door to Pen Station is just in front of this hotel so I didn’t get wet in rainy days. Traditionally the front desk of this hotel never smile, which is always compensated with the friendly and kind guys at the baggage storage. I will definitely come back when the price is reasonable to me.

Great location but a little dingy and worn

Great location for sure. Check-in was seamless and we were permitted early check-in. The hotel lobby was spacious and had lots of seating. The staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms were as described with comfortable bedding and a huge walk-in shower. The cons to this establishment was…dingy and the elevators required patience more often than not. It would appear that cleaning staff tied them up, but that’s not something I fact checked. They were either quick and easy or required a couple of minutes watching them stuck in limbo of movement. Breakfast was plentiful with solid options for everyone. Didn’t check out the bar.

What a great hotel!

The weather was expected for the first week in February…cold. But we enjoyed it. The location was perfect! We were in for the Westminster Dog Show and could see Madison Square Garden from our window. It was only one subway stop to Broadway also. The room was quite large and very clean. The staff was outstanding! We will definitely consider this hotel again.
