I recommend requesting a room in the new building,not the building across the street, next to the supermarket. We were able to change our room to the new building which is wonderful.

We stayed here overnight before a flight home. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, restaurant and bar were fabulous! Very walkable to shops and other restaurants. Only not great thing was we had to pull/carry our luggage in the snow across two streets to our building. In case this might be an issue for you just be aware when booking.

The receptionist was extremely helpful and kind. The room was specious, comfortable and had its own sauna which unfortunately didn't work. The receptionist arranged a refund immediately for the extra we paid for it. We ate at the hotel restaurant, the food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Absolute gem! We took the room with a sauna and loved it. The staff were very helpful and lovely. Everyone we spoke with friendly and helpful from the welcome to the goodbye. We used the laundry which was easy and very well priced. Lovely area in the summer, I hope to visit in the winter soon 😁... Big shout out to the young waitress (and guide in the winter) who spoke with us about our plans and winters in Ivalo - sorry I didn't get your name.

We loved this property. We stayed for two nights as part of a 10 day trip through Finland. The hotel is perfectly situated for walking 100 metres to the office of Ivalo Safari, who have amazing experiences. We did an aurora borealis trip on a snow mobile and husky dog sled ride. I will be reviewing these separately. The hotel breakfast was really good, with lots of choices and a nice homely restaurant setting. The evening meals were good too. Some reviews i read prior to our trip said that the newly refurb rooms were better, as they were away from the road. Honestly, we stayed in a ground floor room in the older part and the room was very good. Nicely appointed, very clean and no noise at all from the road. Easy access to supermarket and taxi rank too. The best thing in the hotel was the sauna. It has sessions each day for general hotel guest access, but can be booked for an hour privately free of charge. The staff were helpful and friendly...my only suggested improvement would be a few more lounge chairs in reception and a second chair in the room to sit on. These did not impact is at all...just being picky! Thank you for a lovely stay.
