The staff were friendly, the room was a really good size and the food was beautiful. It was super warm the night we stayed, a fan would have made it more comfortable sleep but recognise this is something that doesn't happen often in the UK!

A very special historic pub bed & breakfast in the perfect location to visit the Haynes Museum and the Royal Navy Air Arm Fleet Museum. Both exceptional museums.

Great value rooms and food in a proper local

A proper local, great beer and comfort food and friendly staff. Room basic but real value for money. Excellent continental breakfast.
Nicholas, 1-night trip

8/10 Good

Room clean and tidy however bed was broken, a wooden slat under the mattress to stop you dropping into bed base, needs a new bed in room, also advise you need a fan available in the rooms as none available in the room for hot days. Might be worth mentioning the nearby church Westminster chime carries on through the night every quarter hour, will wake you up if you have to have windows open at night. Food no complaints, however the smell of cannibis in bar area and outside due to a couple of locals smoking in the beer garden. Alright for a night but wouldn't use as a base

This is an old-fashioned tavern with an inn. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, as were the local patrons. The included breakfast consisted of fresh fruits, cured meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, toast, juice, milk, etc. We ate dinner at their restaurant the night we arrived and it was tasty traditional English food. I had a very nice fish and chips while my wife had a delicious meat pie. The beds were a bit soft for my liking, but I slept comfortably. I could do without the green nightlight. The property is located next to a cottage lined path leading to a quaint 13th centuty church. We opened the window for a better view and some fresh air. I'd recommend staying here.

Friendly staff and people in busy local pub. Good food, clean and comfortable room. Shame no cooked breakfast as advertised on website but given a good discount because of this. Enjoyed our stay here, thank you very much!

The room is pleasant and clean and good value for the price, the restaurant was closed and only toast was available for breakfast so can’t comment on the food. Staff were welcoming and nice, a good value bed and breakfast.
