Highly recommend the Hotel Sunroute Niigata. It is convenient to the train station with many bars, parking options and restaurants nearby. Google translate the street parking lots if you don't use the hotel garage. Some have deals with the hotel where you pay a lower rate for overnight parking. I had great service from the hotel staff who helped me with figuring that out and saving a lot of money. We really enjoyed our visit to Niigata and Hotel Sunroute was the right place for us!

We had 2 rooms. Both non smoking but one of the rooms absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. Unfortunately it was the room assigned to me and I suffer from asthma so I had a very difficult time breathing and sleeping was limited. Our other room had our children and it was not feasible to swap rooms. I do not know if we would consider going to siunroute again as it is very hot and miss with the rooms.

雖說是訂了禁煙樓層，一出電梯口就聞到濃濃的煙味，整個樓層都是。 幸好進了房間後菸味有減少； 入住2天剛好都下雨本想和飯店借傘，卻被親切地要我購買門口自動販賣機的傘800圓,這是近兩年少見沒傘借的飯店了。

立地と価格で選びました。寝るために帰るだけなので、狭くてもいいかと思い、エコノミーツインにしましたが、やっぱり少し狭く感じたので、広い方のツインにした方が良かったと感じています。ベッドはマットレスが経年劣化しているので、へこみ具合が気になる人はいるかもしれません。ただセミダブルサイズなので部屋の狭さの割にゆったりと寝られる感じです。人手不足、物価高、色々な困難をさまざまな工夫で乗り越えようとしていると思いました。タオル、シーツは完璧に清潔で、朝食は美味しかったです。周辺に食事できるところがたくさんありました。
